I cannot speak highly enough about Scott and his team, Julio and Luis. Extremely pleasant, professional and amazing to work with. Always willing to offer ideas and thoughts on how to trouble shoot anything that came up. I was fortunate enough the timing worked out that Scott was able to implement all the design work in our yard - from the yard debris removal, lawn leveling, to hardscaping, lighting and irrigation. Their work product is impeccable and has completely transformed my backyard. The lighting alone has really elevated my house and at night, looking outside, it’s like an extension of my living room. I really didn’t know what I was missing until I’ve it had. I’m looking forward to the next time our schedules align to re-do the front!

Very quick and efficient service, was paid by the hour but didn't drag the job out and only did what we agreed to do in the time estimated. Much happier with our sprinkler system now.

Installed driveway lighting and did it very well. We are very pleased with the job and how they did their work.

I found a fairly significant water leak that was filling my sprinkler system valve box with water to overflowing and I was quite concerned. I looked up and quot;Irrigation Repairand quot; and began to call a list of approximately 10 service providers that had good ratings. six calls went to voicemail and three companies that answered were booked and felt that and quot;we can probably get someone there late next weekand quot; was a perfectly suitable response. When I called Abel Irrigation and Lighting the phone was immediately answered and it was immediately clear to me that they understood my problem was understood the relative urgency of it. They offered to come to the house that evening or at 10:00 the following morning. I chose 10:00 a.m. and at the stroke of 10:00 a.m. Scott pulled up to my house. He introduce himself, asked about the problem and we looked at it together. He told me he needed to start digging and confirmed that I understood their prices and policies. I gave my approval to begin and he started digging while explaining exactly what his logic was for finding the leak. He was careful around the plants and careful with where he placed the dirt. He was being paid by the hour but worked fast and never took a break. He analyzed the dirt and dug in the exact the opposite direction I would've dug in. He found the leak hours before I would have and did far less digging than I would have. The leak was in an elbow and he offered to let me fix it to save me money or offered to fix it himself. He even explained exactly how it needed to be fixed if I wanted to do it. I asked him to do it and he had all the pipe and all the tools ready and expertly made the repair. He asked if I wanted to refill the hole to save money and I chose to do so. He gave me clear instructions on do's and don'ts and explained clearly how long to wait to let the glue dry. He cleaned up everything quickly and completely and confirmed he completed all the work I needed. He called me a few hours after he left to remind me to carefully put the dirt back in the hole and not just dump it in and potentially damage the exposed pipe. For me to do the work would've taken me approximately 8 hours and two trips to Home Depot to buy the proper shovel then back for the pipe and glue. These guys could and and should write the book on excellent service. This is an exceptional company.

Our house is at the bottom of a very dark, 400-ft driveway, adjacent to a ravine, and almost entirely covered by trees. Needless to say, it's VERY dark at night, and somewhat dangerous to walk up or down the driveway. Scott installed a series of low-voltage downward-pointing lights high up on several of the trees, which are wired to an light-sensitive switch. The lights come on automatically when it gets dark, and do a very nice job of lighting up various sections of the driveway. All the work was done in one day, with absolutely no problems.

My husband and I are very pleased with the services provided us by Abel Irrigation and Lighting. The owner, Scott Calvin, spent plenty of time with us, clarifying what our goals were with respect to our outdoor lighting. We wanted a combination of beautiful outdoor lighting and security lighting. He made recommendations that we thought were spot on. I had outdoor lighting installed when I purchased my home and did landscaping 18 years ago. Since then the lights had broken, the small trees had become quite large, and we were in need of an update. Scott recommended LED lights and had wonderful ideas of how to light our back and front yards with beautiful and subtle fixtures. His crew was amazing, very thorough and obviously perfectionists. The plan Scott developed for us included fixtures attached to the fence, attached to the deck and stairs (no wires visible anywhere), the gable peaks on the roof, a few path lights, and lights that accentuated a total of 7 tress. The lights for the tress included a combination up-lighting fixtures and a down-lighting fixture. They also installed a new transformer. It was a bit spendy up front, but we know the LED lights will be inexpensive to run. It is simply beautiful, and we are enjoying our yard like we never imagined we could, during winter months! In the course of their work here, I had asked Scott to modify placement of a couple of the lights, and with each request, he was very professional and helpful. He and his crew accommodated the changes without hesitation. Scott Calvin was recommended to us by Sutherland Plumbing, who we learned of through Angie's list. This could not have been a better and quot;word of mouthand quot; referral.
Abel Irrigation and Lighting also winterized our sprinkler system and fixed a leak we had in that system. Again, this was a job well done. We will have them back in the spring to start the sprinklers up again. My husband and I recommend this company without reservation.

GREAT! The crew that came to add the new circuit were wonderful. We had some fear of damage to existing plantings which were pretty extensive in the area. When they were done, the new heads covered the area perfectly, and we could not tell they had dug anywhere.
The tuneup increased coverage very well.
We would highly recommend Abel. We are going to contact them about lighting next.

For starters they were very attentive and able to fit me in on short notice. The gentleman arrived precisely when he said he would (actually even before I got home... and he was very kind about my tardiness). He walked through the yard with me while I discussed all the things that needed to be done. He was even willing to tell me how to do many of the things I wanted done which I thought was very generous. He fixed the pipe I had broken while digging and did all the fine-tuning I needed done. When it was all done we put the system on to test and found an issue with a sprinkler head in the back that the original installer didn't put in correctly and he fixed that as well.
I had Abel Irrigation out in the past to dig up and move sprinkler heads to new locations and was pretty astonished by how reasonable their prices were.
Considering how fantastic this company is I wouldn't even consider learning how to take care of my irrigation system by myself. It just doesn't make sense to spend the time to learn it and then drive all over town to find the parts I need when I can call them and they fix it for such a reasonable price.

Excellent service and results

They spent the whole day laying out the feedlines for the system and making sure each shrub had an adequate supply. They also gave us a tutorial on how to add more drip lines and left spare emitters for us to expand the system as we add more shrubs. We would use them again for future irrigation needs.

They give excellent service and have fair prices. They do great work.

They showed up 3 months after the original work and "shutdown" the system without any request to do so then sent a bill.

Abel Irrigation and lighting visited us to look over the front and back yard and lighting system. They evaluated the inefficiency of our old sprinkler system in light of our new vegetation. It no longer reached over the high growing plants and missed half our yard. Other sprinkler heads were not giving out adequate water pressure. A lot of water was being wasted. We agreed upon the cost and what would be replaced. The team arrived promptly as scheduled, completed the job in one day, offered a walk through before billing us, and billed us after determining that we were satisfied. Very professional. Very well done.

Scott's bid was extremely specific - even including spec sheets on the products he planned to use. He coordinated his work with the landscape installer which was fabulous. His team was efficient, cleaned up after themselves and when the landcape was finishd, Scott came back and showed me how it all worked. I could not have asked for better service.
