The communication was difficult at times on the initial approach. I did 4 different companies and they were probably the least responsive in terms of time. They didn't show up on the first appointment.

I signed a contract on 20 September for Aaron's to build a steel frame for a sunroom addition on my home. I told Daryl, the company's representative, that I needed the project completed soon because I was already behind schedule and the weather was changing for the worse. He told me he would start on the project with the next few days and expected to have it done by the time I returned from an overseas trip in mid October. When I returned in mid October, he had not yet started on the project, but promised he would be working on it soon. Only when I threatened to collect the steel from his shop and turn the job over to someone else did he finally complete the job. His inattention set me back nearly 8 weeks and now the glazing and finish work must be completed in sub freezing weather. I would have fired them early in the project, except for the 25% down payment I paid and would have lost. In spite of the good quality of the work, I cannot recommend this company because of poor communication skills and an inability to properly manage their schedule.

The only thing I can say that was less than stellar was getting a call back for setting up the estimate. I called three times, and the third time was the charm. I persisted because his Angie's List rating listed his work as fast, professional, and a good value, and I suggest future customers also persistent because it was all of those things. The estimator called me on the day of the appointment to let me know when he would be at my home, as requested. He arrived exactly on time. He understood my desire for a design that fit the style of my home and was unobtrusive. He gave me an estimate on the spot, and I accepted on the spot. I asked for a delivery/install before Thanksgiving, and my hand rail was installed the day before Halloween. I have no complaints. Once the estimation process began, communication was stellar.

Aarons measured the porch and garage steps and offered suggestions. The rails were installed. The final result looks good and functions well. It was a pleasure working with Aarons.
