A-APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE

I started my journey w this scam repair service 7-8-20 when they quoted me $420.00 to replace the electrical main control board on my dishwasher. They insured me the dishwasher would last “5-10 more years” after the repair so I agreed. A few day later the dishwasher was again not working, and they came out to tell me it needed an additional repair at $300. As I was already in $420 deep money wise, I agreed to the additional $300 and it took them until 11-27-20 to come do the additional repair. Shortly after they left, I noticed the heat dry not working and the dishes not coming out very clean. I called them yet again and they scheduled to come back out. Months later they made it back to my house to look at it and told me they “just couldn’t figure it out” and that I should “call a Whirlpool technician” and left me w the still broken dishwasher after paying them $730.00. I called Whirlpool and they wanted $250 just to come look at it, so at this point decided to deal w the subpar performance of the machine. January of 2023 the control panel is again not working and the dishwasher won’t run at all. Calls to this scamming repair company have been meet w gaslighting (claiming I didn’t call them a year and half ago when they first left me w a barely running machine. I offered to send them phone records to jog their memory) and a refusal to refund or take responsibility for their inability to manage simple repairs. Ive noticed they have a lot of either one star or 5 star reviews which leads me to believe they’re also scamming review sites. I urge others scammed by this company to file a complaint w the BBB

Called Thursday, left and message and received callback in a few hours. Scheduled service for next day. Scheduling went well, and service was done promptly. Kerry has a very pleasant and professional manner. The invoice states 30 warranty on labor and 90 days on parts. Cost was $55 for service call, $65 labor, $45 parts for total of $165. This was the cost with a senior discount, otherwise the cost would have been $185.

Advised us to get a new cooktop.

Kerry was great to work with. He fixed the freezer/refrigerator and then returned to replace the starter as well. He was extremely fair in his pricing and fit me in at the end of what was obviously a very long day. I absolutely would use him again in the future. 

Kerry is the best! He is knowledgeable and friendly. We have been using A-Appliance Repair Service for about 7 years now. I called him this morning because our dishwasher wasn't draining. It turns out when we installed our new garbage disposal we forgot to knock out the drain plug for the dishwasher connection. He could have easily charged us a house call for that but instead took the time to help us troubleshoot first.

He knew what he was doing the whole time. He fit me in his schedule at the end of the day I called whiles others wanted me to wait sometimes up to 5 days.

He's prompt, fair and honest. His prices are great. He can fix almost anything. He shows up when he says he will. If he can get the part, he can fix it. He's a nice guy. He does what he says he'll do.

Our 10 year old refrigerator will take about 8-10 hours to reach the correct temperatures, but his work saved me the hassle of buying a new fridge. I am satisfied with the job he did.

I love him. Kerry came out for the first time when I had just moved into the house and I was having troubles with my oven. He came out and adjusted some things and made it work fine. He didn't charge me because he hadn't actually repaired anything. It was very nice of him to come out and do what he could do to make the situation better. I thought it was very ethical. Another company might have charged hundreds of dollars just for the service call. He's very honest, friendly and easy to work with. I would use him again in the future.

I called Sears first and it was going to take a couple of days before they could come out. Called Kerry and he was there that afternoon. He diagnosed the problem almost immediately, installed the replacement part and was done within an hour. I would definitely use him again.

I left my original message on a Sunday, and received a call back from Kerry on Monday morning. He is prompt and professional! He was able to come out as soon as my schedule permitted, and the work was done quickly and well. Because of a previous experience I had with Kerry (where he recommended I *NOT* have work done on an appliance), I felt confident in trusting that if he said a new icemaker was needed, it was needed. It is nice to feel that I have a repair person that I can trust! Thanks, Kerry!

Great service and quick problem diagnosis.

Kerry was great; he was straightforward and honest. While he could have tried to convince us to pay $$ for repairs, he was honest enough to recommend just replacing it given how much the repairs would cost. He charged us for the service visit. appreciated Kerry's candor and honesty.

Our Kenmore refrigerator was not cooling. Another company said they couldn't come out for 8 days, so we found A Appliance on Angies List and called them, hoping for prompter service. Kerry came out within 4 hrs, immediately and correctly diagnosed the problem (a faulty thermostat) and replaced the faulty part. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. We will definitely use him again.

He needed to go to the store to get the part and he was very reasonable. He arrived on time and did a great job.

Kerry was punctual and very friendly. He explained what was wrong as well as how the range works.

Kary was very prompt in returning my call, and he was able to schedule a repair of my oven within one days time. He knew immediately what the problem was, and he replaced the defective part the next day. We were also having a problem with our clothes dryer where it would leave small (unremovable) brown spots on our clothing. When we described the problem to Kary, he knew exactly how to fix it, and took care of it the next day when the part arrived. He was very professional and friendly.

THE REPAIRMAN WAS VERY PLEASANT, DID THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER, AND CLEANED UP WHEN DONE. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND CHARGED A FAIR PRICE.
