My poor dog had a miserable experience here. When I picked him up he had several days worth of his own feces caked onto his backside, tail, and legs. Pilgrim is a Keeshond--quite a fluffy breed--so on the special needs note that I left, I wrote that he needs a twice-a-week brushing and an occasional spray off because of his thick fur. Apparently, they clean the dogs on the day that the owners are scheduled to pick them up, but they had let him get so bad, that the poop was dried and matted into his fur. Angie's List allows you to post photos on the review, but believe me, you don't want to see this. This was not a tiny amount that went unnoticed--there were at least five full clumps swinging from behind when he ran to me. One of the workers mentioned that he "might" have a little poop stuck on him. They actually asked me if I wanted a pair of scissors to cut it out before I left. 
While I was paying for his keep (before they brought him out), they told me that Pilgrim had become stressed and had been running in circles in his cage during the time that he was there, but they never called to let me know there was a problem. I was on the East Coast for my son's wedding, yet I left my phone number and two additional numbers as contacts. It was unconscionable for so-called caregivers to see that my dog was in distress and allow him to remain there for two weeks without notifying anyone. 
Obviously, I will never take any of my pets there again. 

Our dog did very well. We were happy with the service and will use them again.

Dogs come back happy and tired. People are friendly and will happily give you a tour of the facility. Dogs get lots of time outside and a walk once a day.

I'm thrilled. my pup can be anxious around other dogs, but had no issues at inavale, the staff seemed to genuinely care, and it's great to pick her up freshly bathed and groomed.

Everything went wonderfully-the staff really makes a big deal out of welcoming a dog and making him feel comfortable with them and any other dogs. They have a professional concern for safety and responsibility illustrated by their legal release and emergency contact forms as well as forms for a vet should an emergency arise. The dog receives a bath and bandanna before you pick him up-it's great!

We have a standard poodle, and they were very gentle and considerate of his first experience with clippers! He received a puppy cut, although I would have liked to see his feet and base of his tail shaved. I got the impression, though, that all I have to do is ask for anything and they would be willing to make it happen if possible. The groomer spent time getting the puppy used to having someone mess with him between the toes, trying to build comfort and familiarity. I appreciated this and had a strong feeling that it will be a good relationship. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their work, each other, and the animals. And there's always a cute little bandana for the dog to go home in!

Inavale Farm is a great place for dogs. There is plenty of room for the dogs to play both within a fenced-in play area and on the farm when it is time to run. Inavale staff are very courteous and professional. They can be easily reached. The facilities are clean and wholesome. I've seen several other kennels that are cramped and loud from howling, unhappy dogs. I don't remember ever hearing barking at Inavale although they probably handle 20 dogs at a time. At the end of the stay each dog is given a bath which is a great way to receive your dog.
