I just thought their price was a little high, but they did a good job overall. I think their prices are in the middle. I have used them for probably 15 years and they have always been good. They have always been responsive to me.

Painted master bedroom/master bath-office/bathroom off office and main floor bathroom. They did a beautiful job. Doug the operations manager was very helpful. He made several suggestion that actually saved me money. Great company!

We were refered to Ken Verhaalen and Verhaalen Painting by our interior designer Anita Thompson of Interior Spaces. Ken came out to bid on the interior and exterior work. We gathered other bids for the same work and chose Ken because of his promptness and the way he conversed with me about the work. We did not have a set date for the interior painting since we were having other work done and the painting was to be last. Ken was very patient and understanding until we were finally able to set a firm date. During that time we also determined we needed to paint the ceiling that was not part of the original bid. Ken was kind enough to come to our house again to provide a bid for the ceiling and touch up & repair work in 1 bathroom required after the installation of the granite.

The work was done in 1.5 days. The crew of 3 arrived 10 min early. Seth, Bryce and Dave were wonderful. Polite and caring in their work and the way they handled our belongings. They worked efficiently and very well as a team. They cleaned up and even swept before leaving the first day. Seth returned on day 2 to complete the work and do a few touch ups. They did a great job and we love the new colors.

Seth returned to power wash the house in anticipation of warmer weather. He returned again today to caulk the board joints. The caulk must cure for 1 week and we have 2 days of warmer dry weather. We talked to Seth about a lot of small holes left in our siding by the satellite dish people. He assured me that filling the holes prior to painting would not be a problem.

We look forward to warm weather and the next phase of the work - painting the outside of the house.

Ken Verhaalen showed up the first day with his painters to ensure they would get properly started. The painters were very considerate and courteous throughout the entire week. They were very conscientious about work standards and quality, and on the last day, they walked around the house with me to ensure I was completely satisfied. They promptly corrected anything that was identified. The painters were also very good about cleaning up after each day and upon completion of the work.

I would definitely consider using Verhaalen Painting again, and in fact, I've already scheduled them for the exterior painting this coming summer. Ken Verhaalen is very responsive, and he promptly answers emails. His crew does an excellent job, and I would not hesitate to recommend the company. The pricing is very reasonable (and lowest among four bids), and the quality of work and customer service is outstanding.

Excellent job!  Very pleased.  Showed up on time and clean up daily.  No oversprays.  Very professional in every way. 

They were good, and I would use them again. The only issue was that scheduling was a bit of a problem because of the time of year and weather. They have a lot of business clients. During that time of year, they wanted to make sure that they got those jobs done before mine. All in all, I'm going to actually have them do the exterior of my house, because they do paint quite well.

They are very meticulous. I am having them come back out this year to do the exterior. They are just excellent! They had a checklist when they first came; they asked me if it was okay that they play the radio while they worked or used the restroom or things like that - just to make sure that they weren't offending me. They worked very quickly and were very thorough. They then said that if I found that they missed anything or splashed anywhere to contact them - I never had to call them.

Ken showed up within 3 days of contact to give estimate. I had a friend who had used him before and was pleased, but since he had only a few listings on Angie's list (under Ken Verhallen) I was not sure. His bid was the middle one, but within a few hundred of the lowest bid. After meeting him I decided to use his company and am happy that I did. They showed up on time and there was a great 3 man crew. Be sure to request the crew headed by Zolt. Took a half day to pressure wash the house,and another half day to caulk and do the rest of the prep work. They came over a couple of times to help us decide on the paint color and painted some siding and trim so we could be sure of our choice. We lucked out with a couple of days of dry weather (this was mid April) and they were out at 7 in morning and completed the entire job in two days. There were a few missed spots, and Zolt was not happy with the door and wanted to redo it, so they came back a few days later and spent another half day finishing up. Zolt walked the entire house with us and actually found a few things that he wanted to redo that I did not notice. They clean up everything at the end of each day and they are very quiet. No radios or shouting...just professionals. Ken does not charge anything until the job is finished, which is unusual and shows his confidence in his work. The other three bidders all wanted at least 25% upfront. High quality job at a reasonable price. I'm happy.

The experience was excellent and their prices are so low. They gave me a large percentage off for a special they were having. They are so quiet, are meticulous, take their time and are considerate. They even helped me make sure the animals were taken care of and away from the painting areas. I have used them several times and will continue to use them.

We have used him three times and it has always been excellent. He did more than we expected. Our house is natural cedar. They were going to spray it. It wasn't taking. They hand painted the entire house and didn't charge any extra. His price was at least half of everyone else's bid. They did it in two days. It was pretty amazing.
