His crew is really happy and seem to enjoy their work.
The crew was punctual and organized. They were also very attentive and respectful of our landscaping and worked to minimize the impact to the surrounding areas of our yard (avoiding plants and sprinkler heads).
The finished result is an attractive patio and walkway, and now that we've had time to enjoy it and can comment on how it's held up, I can tell you that that it still looks wonderful. Most importantly, the cracking has followed the seams and it drains correctly.
We’re very happy with our patio and recommend you consider Pat’s Pound and Pour.
Pat worked with me to do the job during a time when I could be at the house. His crew arrived early one morning and went to work right away. It took them less than two days to break up the old concrete, excavate and set the forms for the new concrete. The crew identified some drainage problems and came up with some good suggestions to configure the new driveway so the water would drain all the way from the garage in back of the house to the street. It was a great solution to water problems I had been living with for years.
Pat was careful to schedule the concrete for a day when the weather was cooperative, and the crew returned to place and finish the concrete. By two o'clock the work was finished and protected. The finish work was outstanding, all lines were straight and true, the brush finish looked great, the joints were even and consistent - I couldn't ask for a better product! Pat offered to give me an old-fashioned wavy finish on the front steps and walk, and his finisher delivered! The crew took great care to protect my and my neighbors' property during the work, and repeatedly asked if I was happy about how things were going.
I am extremely pleased with the whole experience and delighted to be able to write an outstanding review. Pat's family-owned and operated business (Pat's two brothers and his son all worked on the job) is just the type of company I like to have work on my house. They were professional, courteous, prompt and very organized. They did everything they said they would do - and them some!
Great job! I highly recommend them!

We had some additional work that needed to be done and Pat had another person he works with a lot, Ted Rudiger, take out about a 35' laurel and put in a large dry well. That work, along with the entire driveway project was done professionally and with a lot of care. We have a neighbor we wanted to respect and make sure that nothing on her property was damaged. The crew was respectful and very careful througout the project and our neighbor, who is conserned with what happens on her property, was very pleased with everything that was done.
The crew put in rebar and measured everything very carefully to deal with the drainage issue of all driveways. The driveway has a little upward, but suttle, sway on our neighbor's side so she will not get any of our water drainoff. The driveway also slopes away from the house and all the water goes into the dry well from the highpoint to the drywell. From the highpoint to the end of the driveway (a shorter distance) they put in a small french drain right next to the driveway to protect our neighbor's property from water drainage also.
The driveway is simply beautiful AND it works! All the water from a recent hard rain went right into the drain and we had no water pooling. The driveway is not 100% cured yet (just one week old) but we expect it to cure and be beautiful for a long time! Thanks Pat!
