This was a half a**, poor quality shortcut job. If it was Dave's own home he would install 20 amp GFCIs on his 20 amp kitchen outlets. But instead he cut corners to save about $6. We paid our electrician to replace the GFCIs to the correct 20 amp outlets so that we could have full use of our available power in the kitchen.
Another item on the repair addendum dealt with concerns with the breaker box and a loose breaker that would not stay snapped in. Dave denied there was anything wrong in the breaker box and refused to repair anything. We paid for our own electrician to review his work and he found a loose breaker that was not snapped in. Our electrician snapped in the breaker so that it is usable. Again, lack of quality, thoroughness and complete denial that anything was amiss on our breaker box.
PLEASE AVOID MULTIPHASE ELECTRIC!!! Dave refused to come to our home and correct the GFCIs that should have been 20 amps, not 15. It would have been a quick, cheap fix to save his reputation and maintain a potential customer and good customer relations. Instead we had to pay ourselves to have the fix done by a different electrician. SHAME ON MULTIPHASE ELECTRIC for a subpar install of some simple GFCI plugs. Way to make a new home buying experience positive!
