"If I would have seen this review from [Member name removed] sooner I would have responded immediately. I completely disagree with 95% of his entire review and here are the reasons why. Lets start with the mess issue. We were told by the designer that the framing contractor would be done before we started. He was not ! We got there to start his tools were all over and a layer of dust and debris completely covered the floors and several pieces of [Member name removed] furniture. He was in our way the entire job and only cleaned his tools up and the end of the day. never the dust. The garage was completely full of the framers workings so we had to set our tools and supply and had to use an area in the corner of the living room to store our stuff. I admit I did say something to [Member name removed] about his extremely messy house days of dirty dishes in sink and counter tops, nasty bathrooms, and extremely messy bedrooms as you can see in one of the pictures he provided in his review. We had to clean almost every room just to get close enough to the walls to paint. The toilet did get clogged not " destroyed" because one of my guys poured what he thought was a bucket of nasty water into the toilet and there were some debris in the bottom from the mess the carpenter kindly left for us to clean. It happened in the am. by noon I received a call from [Member name removed] about the toilet and I told him we would fix it immediately his response was that he had already hired a plumber . The bill was $200 to remove toilet replace wax ring and re install same toilet. I paid the $200 even though I should have been given the chance to fix it myself. There were three other bathrooms in the house during the few hours the toilet was out of order. The thermostat we removed wasn't even a part of the contract it was something I agreed to do because it was simple. In the process I must have popped a breaker without knowing and left for the day. [Member name removed] never once checked the breaker box so I flipped the breaker back on the next day for him. I was under a sub contract with his designer Shari Digreer design to do the painting. She was extremely difficult through the entire job it was in the contract that she was to supply the paint as she has her own paint line. Yet she changed colors several times in several areas and told me to go pick the paint up in nw Portland. And I did even though she was supposed to. Then the very next day she changed another color and said she was to busy to bring the new color so I had to go get more paint again. On the final day when I was supposed to be paid she told me she wanted a 20% finders fee for giving me the work. This was the first I had herd of this and it was not in our contract. We did step on two switch plates and I did not replace them. And we also did not move the living room furniture the couple feet needed to be put back in place. All being said this job was a struggle for my crew from the beginning due to the deplorable condition of the home and the framer mess the designer never did anything she was supposed to and tried to get money from me that was not in the contract and never paid me for the several changes in color and the trips I made to nw Portland to pick up the paint she was responsible for. my company paints in multi million dollar homes and homes worth much less yet we always have pride in our work no matter the job. We painted two houses at the 2014 st of dreams and are painting two more at this yrs 2015 st of dreams. Please feel free to come see us or even visit our website or face book page."
