We both work day shifts Monday-Friday so I needed a service call either on Saturday or after 5:00. I started at the top of Angie's list and started calling. All I got was "we're closed Saturday, we don't work late, can't do it until next week, we'll have to call you back, ect." This was if they even bothered to answer the phone. I'm talking about the highest rated folks on the list! I was about to give up but then I called Anderson Heating and Cooling. Steve, the owner took my call. He told me he could send someone out on Saturday, but even better, they could come out at five that day! I was delighted!
Jeremy showed up right on time and went to work. He had the problem pinpointed in just a few minutes, fixed it and then took a thorough look at the other components that had potential to cause trouble. There was one part that was not at the failure point but he showed me its current condition and explained why it might fail in the future. I had him replace it.
It is important to note that at no time did I feel he was just trying to sell me something. Everything he did had an explanation of why he was doing it and why is should be done. I've worked for NW Natural for 37 years and although I have never been in the service department I think I can spot a talented tech when I meet one. Jeremy is first rate.
It is very refreshing to enlist the services of a company that actually wants to help you without making the process more difficult and inconvenient. Anderson is just such a company and now that I've found them I will use nobody else for HVAC service.

None of the upstairs vents get as much air flow from them as the downstairs ones, which is no fault of Anderson's. It's something we'll have to "feel out" and Jeremy said if it isn't cooling upstairs like we want it to, he can come back out and add dampeners to allow us to push more air to the upstairs vents.
The price was fair for what everyone else told me (including other HVAC guys who weren't going to be available this week) was just a DIY project. Well, I tried DIY and it took me 20 minutes on one duct to do a poor job using an o-clamp and duct tape, in 100+ degree conditions. Not to mention that with the blown in insulation up there that's never been stepped on, I wasn't confident where my crossbeams were and it didn't seem worth the risk to put a hole in my ceiling. Jeremy was very professional and I'll definitely be recommending him and Anderson to anyone in need of HVAC service! Thanks, Jeremy!
