Came right down and inspected the damage -- gave me a price on the spot -- came the next day and fixed it all

He and his crew removed the old roof and installed a new one. Due to the harsh environment (high winds, salt air) extra stainless steel nails were used. Phil took time to explain coastal roofing challenges and used pictures of our roof to show us the existing condition. Workers were safe and polite. Work area was left in good order each day; project was completed promptly and looks great. After a big wind and lots of rain, gutters drain well and the roof is secure and well sealed. I would like to emphasize the importance of using a roofer who is familiar with coastal conditions. Our previous roof tiles were in good condition, but the wrong nails were used and therefore deteriorated prematurely.

Phil and his crew are very professional. It's clear they have a lot of experience and know the coastal climate.   Their craftsmanship is superb. All the guys worked hard, and Phil closely supervised. Their attention to detail was tops.  I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Phil was prompt even in the stormy weather we were having here on the Oregon coast. He explained things very well, was easy to communicate with, and I felt like I was dealing with an honest, ethical person. I really respect any company/person who honors the military and the elderly by providing discounts to them. His prices are very reasonable and he does a very good job. He honors his work. He came out the first time to fix a leak. The leak came back and he came right back out and found another source of the problem, honored his work and then found an additional leak. We will be using him again for sure. I really got a sense that he knows what he is doing, does quality work, and is honest.

Phillip Cato is owner and operator of Cato roofing, licensed, bonded and insured. After calling him about the leaking of the vents in our bathrooms from a torrential rain storm he responded immediately. I did not have to be put on a list having to wait a week or more for service. I was not told I had to wait until they were finished with a job that was going to be done the next month or that when it was my time to have the work done he had a larger job lined up that he was going to do first. I was not promised that he would come on a certain date and then not show up. It was refreshing to have fast and superb service from a company that doesn't sub-contract to someone else to come to your house and repair the problem. Mr. Cato  and his associate were fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. He took pictures before and after repairs to show me the exact problem and what repairs would be done. The repairs were done correctly the first time and there was never a reason to call him back because the repair had failed.

Most companies give you a 1-5 star service but Cato roofing was well above a 5 star rating and he is now listed with the only companies I will do business with for repairs on my home.

Great on time and great customer service

Owner Phil Cato personally kept in touch with me from the date of the estimate throughout the final procedure. Each person on his crew was courteous, and each barely stopped to breathe as they performed their work!
