Our relationship got off to a rocky start with JK Painting when we scheduled an estimate and the estimator called me 2 hours early stating he was at the house and nobody was home. I had to leave work before I had planned in order to meet him. I was impressed by the professionalism and completeness of the estimate process. I was a bit taken back when they offered a discount if I paid 1/2 immediately to lock in the price and get on the books but I did so. That is a "hard sell" tactic that I didn't think was appropriate or needed. I was told the project manager would be contacting me to schedule the actual date. 1.5 weeks went by without contact and I contacted JK Painting. We had family coming for a visit so we had a finite window to get the job done. It took a couple of contact tries but a date was finally determined. We contacted JK Painting several times over the next few weeks to confirm the brand and formula for the doors and exterior trim We were supplying the exterior primary paint, JK Painting was to supply the trim and door. We also wanted to confirm how long the job would take . We were told one full day which was great. The scheduled date of the job arrived. I took off from work to be there when they arrived in the early morning. When nobody showed up by 10am, we tried calling. We tried again at 11am. At 12:30 we finally got a return call stating that a painter would be there mid-afternoon. This was not what we agreed to and would require a second day off work for me. A painter was being sent and would arrive by 2pm which he did. The first issue was that he asked " Where is the door and the trim paint?" We told him JK Painting was supposed to supply that. Several phone calls later he said it was straightened out and he began prepping. Clearly this job was not going to finish in one day. We had removed the front door hardware and he taped around that leaving us with no access and no lock. Day two started better with the painter showing up bright and early and getting right to work. The actual painting went smoothly and by late afternoon the shed was complete, the shed door and front door were painted. He cleaned up after himself completely, which was nice. We were told to leave the shed door open for at least a day to allow it to dry and we were to not tightly close or use the front door for a day (I had removed the weatherstripping). We allowed both to dry 3 full days. On inspection, the front door had a noticeable ridge where the old hardware was. We had told JK Painting that we would be purchasing a new lockset that was likely a different shape and this ridge looked terrible. The shed door had firmly stuck to the weatherstripping (which JK Painting failed to remove) and the paint peeled around the edges of the door. When we contacted JK Painting, they responded promptly and came out to address the issues. They touched up both doors and again we had to let them dry cracked open for a couple of days. They offered a modest credit for the delay and for the initial workmanship. I ended up removing one of the shed weatherstripping sections so that the door would not rub as hard (hinge side) but to this day, 1 month later, the shed door still sticks like crazy to the rest of the weatherstripping requiring excessive force to open. I don't know if it was the prep or the paint but the front door also still feels "soft" and doesn't have that hard enamel feel to it. The same paint was used on both. JK Painting wanted the remainder of the payment at the end of day two, but I requested that they invoice me. They had not completed the door hardware installs nor weatherstripping reinstall. I wanted to let everything dry and see how it turned out before paying the remainder. The next issue came with billing. We had paid 1/2 down at estimate time. We were sent an invoice several weeks later for the full estimate without the credit and without our downpayment. This took 2 more emails and about a week to get corrected. The invoice was through an online portal that included a "Pay Invoice" button. Guess what? The company doesn't accept online payments when you click that button. They can send you a PayPal invoice but they will charge you an additional 3.5% for that service. All these missteps ruined what I had expected to be a great experience with JK Painting. In summary, where JK Painting failed to meet our expectations: - Communication - Punctuality - Workmanship (attention to detail) - Accuracy of billing Where JK Painting met our expectations: - Prep and painting of the shed siding and trim. Neatly done, well caulked. - Job site cleanliness - Protection of landscaping

JK Paint was professional from start to finish! From our initial email contact, through a supervisor arriving to complete a bid, to the carpenter who did the siding replacement, everyone was friendly, professional and prompt. The work area was cleaned up nicely, and the completed work looks great. They were able to get the work done one week from the initial bid date, and then pulled that in by an additional day. We'd definitely hire JK Paint again.

Joe did a fantastic job!  He cleaned all surfaces that needed paint, patched and caulked, covered things and masked off where needed.  I had a hallway that was painted dark red and it needed extra priming.  Joe was always on time and was very careful to clean up at the end of the day and return furniture to its proper place.  He was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful in making the project as easy for me as possible. I will definitely call him again when I need work done on my home.
I received a detailed estimate for the work in advance and the work was completed on time for the price quoted in the bid.  Great job, Joe!

Joe was professional and kept us informed on all details as the work progressed. He pointed out what was needed and was able to address all concerns. The final result was great! We were pleased with all of the finished work. He went well beyond what was required in helping us and completing the job to our satisfaction.

refinished wall where old counter tops were removed. filled nail holes as needed and repainted the walls. did some texture word as well to duplicate original finish where sanding was done for new thicker quartz tops.  This is the third job JK has done for us.

Joe is a 10 every single time. He has stellar communication skills and an excellent work ethic.  I've used him several different times and referred him to many clients.  Every single time I get great feedback. 

This was the second time that I used JK Painting.  Last Spring I used JK to paint the outside of a ranch style home that we planning on putting up on the market. Joe came out looked over the job and gave me a estimate of the costs.  It was fair price, not the lowest nor most expensive estimate, but fair.  Joe sent a guy out to do some of the prep work a few days before the rest of the crew arrived.  The crew was on site for two days.  They arrived on time, worked thru the day, and one of the guys came back on Saturday to do some finish work.  They did an excellent job on a house that was in badly need of painting.  We decided fairly late in the pre selling process that it would help sell the house if we painted the inside.  I called Joe and gave him a fairly short window to get in and complete the house. Joe tweaked his schedule a bit and had his crew come out on a Thursday and Friday to paint.  They spent one day doing mostly prep work and then painted all thru the next day.  There was still some work to be done and one of the crew came back and spent Saturday completing the job.  What I really like about this company is the guys work steadily throughout the day and will do what it takes to get the job done in time. 

The carpet guys showed up Monday morning and we sold the house the following weekend.  JK Painting did an excellent job on both the exterior and interior of our house.  We were very happy with the results in that it helped us sell our house within 72 hours after listing.

JK Painting impressed us from the start when they came out to give us an estimate. Joe was very thorough and professional and answered all of our questions. He explained their pricing and even had a written estimate to leave with us that included all of the details of how they would complete the work and how long it was expected to take. 
When they arrived to do the job they were on time, courteous and professional. They were meticulous in their prep of the inside and the outside of the house for painting down to tying back any shrubs that were near the house. They completed the job and then came back to do any touch ups. 
The crew was friendly, neat and professional. They prepped all areas for painting and cleaned everything up as if they hadn't been there. The attention to detail was very impressive. 
I would (and plan to) use JK Painting for any and all of our painting needs. I have also recommended them to many friends and would do that without hesitation again,

The second time I called Joe he answered the phone with my name. That was huge to me as we hadn't even told him we were moving forward yet and he had obviously programed my number. I felt more comfortable calling him and not feeling like I needed to explain and hope he remembered who I was. When Joe came to do the intital quote he was extremely confident in the work that he was promising, which ultimately became the reaason why my other half and I went with him. Just a couple weeks later Joe's crew came over and got the powerwashing done and were very respective of my requests to do each side in a sepecific order, as there were day sleepers inside of the home. When it came time to paint, Joe's crew was onsite between 0700-0730 and worked through the entire day into the evening. It took two days to complete the job once the painting started. They make sure to wrap all plants along the house which I appreciated. My other half was very impressed seeing Joe come and work along side his crew each day making sure the job was getting done properly. Our house looks absolutely incredible now, it looks brand new.
