Drywall was hung horribly. Worker was on his phone a lot. Left screws and wall areas exposed. Got plaster all over and tracked it through the house (railings and walls). Requested a breakdown of cost which they never sent. Ignored me when I tried to make contact on several occasions. Badly cut openings around vents and electrical sockets. No walk through at the end or care of quality of work.

There are two owners, Matthew and Keith, and I ended up working with both of them. H&H Drywall’s website says they deliver “Prompt, Clean, Courteous and Dependable” service, when in fact they are: Not Prompt. They were scheduled to start on a Monday and I was told the job would take 2 weeks. The materials weren’t delivered until Wednesday and the crew didn’t start until Thursday. This caused problems with other subs who were scheduled behind them. When I addressed this with Keith, he actually blamed me for the problems their tardiness was causing. Not Clean. Didn’t cover anything. Joint compound all over my new windows and in every outlet. Drywall dust everywhere. Not Courteous. OK, all of the workers on my job were subs and they were all very nice. But other than an initial “getting started” meeting, H&H management was completely absentee, and when I called Matthew or Keith to inform them of issues, I got arguments, impatience or empty promises. Not Dependable. As in really, really not dependable. The texture job they did was a complete mess. When I tried to communicate with Matthew about it, he’d say he was “on it” or he’d come over to take a look and then never did. There were other problems I won’t go into, but in my opinion Matthew is a world-class pro at saying he’ll do something and then not doing it. Also, their GoSmith profile reads “our goal is to help you complete your project with as little mess, stress and hassle as possible so that you can get back to doing the things you enjoy the most.” Again, completely untrue. After giving up on Matthew’s empty promises, I had to spend an entire week sanding and re-texturing to make their work look acceptable. Overall, a truly migraine-inducing experience.

After a plumbing leak the plumber had to cut into the drywell to repair the leak. On recommendation of the plumber I called H&H Drywall. They were able to provide an estimate after I texted a photo of the damage. They provided an estimate after 3 days and we scheduled a repair date. Repairman showed up on time and took great care in preparing the space to contain the debris. Quality of the repair was superb. The surface was a knockdown texture and after painting the surface the repair is undetectable.

We called Keith to come out and give us an estimate - again.  We had
called him twice before but something came up each time that prevented
us from having it done.  He came out within a day or two and gave us a
very good estimate.  We were expecting the price to have went up significantly.
He was able to have the job started in a week from when we called.  Two young
fellows came - a bit late due to their gps acting up.  But as soon as they got here
they started right to work.   They put brown paper down on all the floors and covered furniture with light plastic
that was in the rooms.  They worked straight through till four o'clock
when they were done.  They then cleaned up everything as if no work was even done.
The ceilings looked good.
