Mike McBee Excavating

Mike McBee Excavating trenched through my neighbor's yard this winter while installing a new sewer line.  In the process, McBee Excavating tore up a section of my own adjacent property.  They uprooted and cast aside shrubs in my flowerbed.  They left behind a deep area of compacted clay and gravel soil where once there had been rich, flowerbed soil.  They should fix this, right?
I repeatedly contacted McBee Excavation over a period of FIVE months in an attempt to get them to repair the damage they had done to my property. Every time I spoke to Mike or one of his geriatric underlings, all I ever received were excuses and promises that, "they would get to it." They never did. This was more a matter of business integrity than money. It was a simple fix. They should have corrected the damage they caused.
I STRONGLY recommend that you do not employ the is company for your excavating needs.

Don was great to work with beforehand. Extremely punctual, responsive and provided great customer service. When Mike and the team came to do the work they were great at explaining what they would do and how long it would take. They met all the expectations set.

There were problems finding the lateral as the city mark for existing sewer location was incorrect. This caused a significant delay but the company was able to promptly get city officials to run their locater and eventually find the line. Initially, they told us that the missing lateral would involve an additional $2500 charge. However, the company did stand behind their pledge and completed the job for the agreed upon price.

I sought a couple of estimates. When I called Mike McBee excavating they had someone come by very promptly to give an estimate. They even had the locating service come out and mark the street for the other utility lines before I had accepted their bid, and that saved time. Their bid came in $500 below a competing bid. They got to work immediately and finished within 2 days which is what they told me it might take. When they excavated my yard they had to cut through a sprinkler line but they fixed the sprinkler line without raising my cost. They patched my sidewalk and rebuilt my rock retaining wall and swept up the sidewalk, it looks better than before they got to it! I highly recommend these guys, they were professional and competitively priced.

WE GOT SEVERAL BIDS ON THIS JOB FROM MANY COMPANIES, BIG AND SMALL, AND THESE GUYS WERE BY FAR THE MOST STRAIGHT-UP, ON-THE-BALL, PROFESSIONAL, AND LEAST EXPENSIVE. THE MCBEE FAMILY HAS APPARENTLY BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR SOME TIME, AND IT SHOWS. THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING, AND DIDN'T GIVE US THE RUN-AROUND, LIKE MOST OF THE OTHER COMPANIES WE TALKED TO. THEY WERE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE WITH THIS JOB, WERE IN AND OUT IN JUST A FEW DAYS, WERE ALWAYS POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL, AND CLEANED UP NICELY AFTER THEMSELVES. I DON'T WISH SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT ON ANYBODY, BUT IF YOU FIND YOURSELF IN THIS SITUATION, I RECOMMEND MIKE MCBEE WHOLEHEARTEDLY. INCIDENTALLY, THE REFERENCE THEY PROVIDED FOR ME, AND WHOM I CALLED, ALSO HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM.
