MOLALLA MC CULLOCH SAW SHOP

Wow. Molalla saw shop has some of the best service in Clackamas County. I visited 3 stores to price and compare various brands and models of chainsaws, and even though they didn't have the lowest price for what I was looking for - they did a great job with their customer service. I spoke with a professional logger when I was there, and he raved about how great the family run store is. I decided to come back a few weeks later and purchased a MS261 saw. They took the time to explain full operation, breakdown and cleanout, service and maintenance of the saw along with a free blade sharpening after my 1st use. I cut up a couple large trees later that week, and the saw worked like a charm. I have since cleared a couple acres of timberland that is located in a high risk forest fire area. The other two saws I purchased from big box stores were lower quality and were at the end of their life after a few months of on and off use. Unlike the first two saws I have owned, the Stihl I bought from Molalla Saw has held up very well. I really appreciated them taking the time to answer all of my questions, give an honest comparison of different brands (one of which they said is a great brand, and gave a comparison of what they carry). I was sold not because of price, but because of their knowledge of their products, their honesty, and their willingness to answer my numerous questions and provide extensive information and accurate analysis of their products. On the other hand, I had visited a few other stores where they were either unwilling to assist, or were blatantly biased and withheld info on some of the saws they were trying to sell, while bad mouthing other brands. I did not encounter this at the Molalla saw shop, they were overly honest and pointed out all aspects of each model. I was looking for a professional saw, with a home owners budget. I settled on the MS261 which is a great little saw that has held up extremely well with extensive use in clearing four acres of timber so far. I bought it last fall, and used it to cut rounds of poplar, maple, and alder today. I've been back since, and plan on using them for anything that is saw related. It's rare to find great customer service these days, but Molalla saw shop has done an exceptional job in creating a customer for life.
