It went exactly as planned. Tortoise Construction arrived when they said and did the work we had agreed upon. Completed within our agreed upon timeframe. Mike and his crew really get with it. All work done in a professional manner. Very friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend Tortoise Construction.

Mike and his carpenters trimmed all my floors and doors with Douglas Fir trim and they did really good work! I found his team to be professional and always willing to walk through each work day with me inspecting the work as it progressed. They were able to navigate the funky lines of my uneven house and get creative when needed. I plan on hiring this neighborhood company again when I get further into other remodeling projects.

I had a very good experience w/ Mike. He is professional (as is his whole crew), knowledgable and very responsive to my calls/emails or texts. I explained what I had in mind and why I wanted to get some things done, and he would give me suggestions of things that could be done to solve my problems/challenges. I never felt pressured to do anything the way he wanted. He always presented me w/ options and let me make the decisions depending on how much I wanted to spend and I truly appreciated that. With him everything was always very clear/upfront. The quality of his work was great. I would work w/ him again.

Our finished basement had flooded while we were out of town. We had to have Mold Eaters (see positive review) come and they removed the moldy wall-to-wall carpet, and some of the baseboards to check for more mold. We had a new surface applied to the floor, but it left the trim looking sloppy because the carpet had covered some gaps between our un-level old cement (1910) floor and the trim. Mike and James did a great job of fixing all the gaps, touching up the paint, and when necessary, putting in new cord around. I felt terrible about the room before they fixed it, but now it looks nice again. I referred them to a friend who needed different jobs done, so I think they are pretty versatile.
