Jon and Damian are meticulous. I have never seen people measure so often and always checking for level. You could probably get one built faster but you can not get one built better. Our neighbor had a large deck built at the same time and it was interesting to see the difference in build quality. We did upscale composite Timbertech with composite skirting so it was not inexpensive but I will never need to replace it either. If you call in the middle of summer it is peak time and quality builders are booked out. I found communication good.

Jon did an outstanding job. The work was of excellent quality, communication was good, he made sure he understood what we wanted and his suggestions turned out to be very good ideas. The cost was very fair for the extent and quality of work performed.

We got a great result. Jon is careful and very hard working - he is exacting with the design process and was able to suggest small carpentry details that really added a lot to the finished project. He is knowledgeable about resources and was able to help us sort through the materials choices so that we could get the look and easy care we were after. He had to work around existing landscaping and was very respectful of our yard and kept the job site very tidy - in the end he hauled away more debris than he produced. We couldn't be happier with our finished project.

Jon and Jeff were excellent in every way!  Jon helped me design the deck.  He is very detail-minded and he worked closely with an Engineer to ensure our design would meet our needs, safety standards, city codes, and still be aesthetically pleasing.  Jon and Jeff arrived at 8:30 every morning and worked hard every single day until the job was done.  They were kind and non-intrusive.  They were also very clean.  I never saw even a stray screw or piece of wood left behind - it was amazing!  They cleaned and swept up every day before leaving.  I have small children and they loved both Jon and Jeff so I felt safe having them at our house.
Now for the deck - it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!  We are so impressed with the outcome.  It is much nicer than we had even envisioned.  Jon is meticulous and it shows in his craftsmanship.  We had a party here last weekend and so many people complimented the work.  They were amazed at how nice it turned out.  In addition to its beauty, our deck is probably the strongest deck I've been on.  I feel like we could park a car on it (not that we would) and it wouldn't budge.  
I would highly recommend Best Decks to anyone looking to build a high-end, strong, beautiful deck.  They did an absolutely amazing job and I can't say enough great things about them.

I had multiple contractors give a look at our job.
One was too far out to provide us our needed completion date.
Another failed to ever work us up an estimate.
Jon from Best Decks on the other hand showed up on time and provided an estimate later the same night.
On top of that he discovered some serious safety flaws and deterioration on the existing deck and how and why we needed to structurally rebuild the design so we weren't just putting lipstick on a pig.
It was obvious he was experienced and knowledgable in all aspects of the design and construction of any kind of deck.
To pat him on the back isn't a hard choice to make.
He helped me redesign a more advantageous design for the stairs to the lower patio area that actually added size and functionality to the deck. He was able to incorporate that design to be aesthetically better for the overall landscape design we'd planned for hardscapes and retaining walls for better flow of foot traffic.
Jon and his crew were very meticulous in every detail. From the safety aspect to the neatness of the refuse materials and their own construction equipment cleaned up and put away each day, you could tell they were professionals. The little things like the beveling of each end of each board to reduce splinters, designing the board pattern to be pleasing to the eye and the quality of all fasteners used, I was impressed and satisfied that I made a good choice in hiring them for this project.
Even my landscape contractor made comments about what fine work they did here and asked for their card to offer references to his clients needing a deck built. That says a lot, when your peers are equally as impressed with the work you do.
I cannot say enough good things.
