We needed someone to cut our granite counter to accommodate a new slide in range. The Alpha Stoneworks team was quick to reply to our inquiry with detailed information and was able to provide a quick turnaround. The team confirmed a time frame the day prior to our appointment, showed up on time, and worked as a team to provide an excellent end result. The counter cut was smooth and straight - we were so pleased with their work. They even slide the range into the space to make sure it would fit.

Without a hitch. Rick is professional and responsive; and does exactly what he says he is going to do. They do very quality work and are worth every penny.

We visited their show room and warehouse and chose a slab of  Autumn granite that had been recycled. Kirstin was very helpful with availability and prices and showed us several options that would be suitable. She made other suggestions regarding the fabrication and size of the matching back piece.  Their prices are excellent and their work is superb. This is a family operation and you will eventually meet the other family members, Including Dan and Rick.  Their employees are also courteous and professional.  We highly recommend this company for all your counter and desk top needs. We are planning other projects and we will be including Alpha Stone Works for those projects as well. 

I called almost every countertop fabricator around Portland looking for a remnant of a granite slab color called, "Cambrian Black". Alpha Stone Works was one of the few that had that material.  They allowed me to walk into their warehouse and look at the material, and helped me choose between a couple different finish options (polished, or "leather").  I was really happy with their advice.  Their warehouse was very clean and organized.

I placed order on December 30th.  They installed it about a week later, on Monday Jan. 9. The installers suggested that backsplash be taken back and reversed in order to hide seam better. So, they came back and quickly finished the job on Friday Jan. 13.

Because I chose to use a remnant, they had to fabricate my backsplash with a seam.  The front of the countertop also has a seam, since I chose a product that only had a 2cm thickness. Alpha did such a good job with the fabrication, that I can barely see the seams, even in good light!

This price is for the kitchen countertops, which was two slabs. They are fantastic at what they do. They sometimes have to glue two pieces together to create a seam. They have the tightest seams that I have ever seen. Sometimes I cannot even find the seam. Their prices are competitive. They are timely and courteous. They are perfectionists. They are absolutely great! We would definitely use them again in the future and have already referred them to many people.
