The steel building he put up is good.  This report is really about the driveway.  It’s the driveway that we are having the problem with.  He hired a sub to do the concrete on the driveway.  Jeff decided how to do the driveway himself against how you typically would put one in.  There is supposed to be a slight decline from your house to the street so the water flows away instead of toward your home.  His sub-contractor put the driveway in flat.  We now have water pooling in certain areas of the driveway.  He also did not put the correct amount rock under the concrete, didn’t pack it, nor did he put the right amount of concrete in (3 ½ inches).  He also did not do his saw cuts correctly – some are too short and some are too long.  It is not cracking all over and a complete mess.  We sued Jeff and we won in the superior court for his poor workmanship.  The judge also gave us back lawyer fees in the superior court.  Jeff took case to the appeals court and it is now going to the Supreme Court because our lawyer feels strongly for this case.   2 courts have found that he has poor workmanship, but he didn’t have enough bond to cover the lawyer fees.
