My old Blaze King had become a danger. I shopped in Grants Pass, then in Medford, and when I had made a decision, I called Oregon Heating. Dan spent all the time needed to talk to me about size, safety and function. Because he was willing to spend that time, we were able to choose the best stove that could be used either as a stand alone or an insert. I now have an efficient/safe stove as an insert and much greater use of the dining room where a brick area had been dedicated to the stove. Dan has responded to my questions -- I'd email, he'd call back soon -- and helped me "get to know" the new stove. I put the cost of service as $1600 -- but my mind is a blur on that. There's the cost of the stove (which I was able to get at a significant discount, then the cost of Dan's work. $1600 on his part is probably right!

Came out to give free estimate. In Medford, all wood stoves and inserts must now be and quot;certifiedand quot;. So, as a result of a flue fire, I had him come and help. The flue is very old so the liner that needed to be inserted to meet new standards needed more insulation for fire protection. Thus it required the old one (8and quot;) to be removed, and a new safer liner inserted. (6and quot;)
He gave me ideas about what type of istove/nsert to look for to fit the new stovepipe size. He even said he would go and look at any used stove I might find.
Once I found the right stove/insert he had two guys come (on time), they went and got the used stove, brought it over, removed the old stove and pipe and redid the whole thing in just a few hours. The initial quote was all inclusive of bringing the new stove, installing everything, and removing/ recycling the old one.
They were very careful of my hardwood floors and furniture, very clean and tidy.

I hired Oregon Heating and Repair to install a new wood burning stove that I recently purchased. The owner came to my home and gave me an itemized estimate and explanation as to how the job would be performed. On the appointed day, they brought the stove from the store along with the floor pad, chimney and all necessary parts. The crew worked efficiently, professionally and were very neat and clean. They even put down tarps on my wood floor while completing the work and then vacuumed after the job was completed. The crew was knowledgable and diligent with their work. I'm very satisfied with the entire experience and would definitely use them again and refer to other customers.
