I asked for a BID, and was quoted $750. After the work was done (which left over-cuts around two switch plates, requiring unnecessary drywall repairs, and time spent on unauthorized work), I received an invoice for almost double my quote. When I called their office I was told that they didn't BID the work, that I had asked for a ROUGH ESTIMATE only and they worked on a time and materials basis. I spent over 40 years in the residential construction business, 15 of those, managing the regional purchasing department of a national builder; I don't get ROUGH ESTIMATES, I get BIDS! Even then, double the estimate is a VERY ROUGH ESTIMATE! (I could estimate better at 10 years old!) I was able to negotiate the invoice down some with the owner, but still paid substantially more that I was quoted, and more than I had other bids for the work. Then, over a month later, I got an e-mail from their estimator, saying that a quote he had previously given me for other work was "null and void" and I should find another electrician if I needed other work done! Of all the nerve !!!

We hired Kaylor Electric to do some work for us. After the inspector came out he let us know of some things that weren't up to code so we called Kaylor Electric back out and fixed the problems and didn't charge us. They were very gracious when they came out the 2nd time to take care of the problem.

They came out immediately within a few hours. They also found some additional things to repair that our previous inspector didn't find, and their rates were very good.

They were excellent. They did what they said they were going to do and they had a great price. They are dedicated.

A professionally done job throughout, Including the detailed, accurate and easily understood statements and invoices. Excellent work, done in a timely manner, even though they had to work around several delays caused by other parts of the project falling behind schedule. They also made some very good suggestions for improvements on our original ideas. We appreciated someone with a lot more experience and technical knowledge than we have giving us their input, rather than just mechanically "doing the job".  They may not be the cheapest electrical contractor in the valley, but the quality of work was worth what we paid.
