FINISHING TOUCH

Terry Buxner of Finishing Touch quoted the same as three other painters. Since he was referred I opted to give him the work. He changed the start date three times then got annoyed with me for asking him not to do that again. He also got angry and upset when I asked him to stop washing his tools in the area of my water feature or trees. I asked that he use the front of the yard and he told me I was just making the job harder. He worked about four or five hours each day and complained about how hard the work was and how difficult my home is to paint. He arrived angry every day and never once mentioned why he was upset or concerned. After two weeks and only the front finished, he walked off the job. He said he wasn't making any money and he was too stressed out. I asked what it would take to finish and he said an additional $3500, beyond the original quote of $5500. i declined his offer and found another painter who quoted the same price and told me Terry was using inferior paint because it is cheaper. Terry got paint on my water feature, outdoor furniture, front porch and ripped limbs off a mature ornamental plant. When he left, he did not put back any of the garden pots or clean up the mess he created.
