It's a Ford dealership and it's probably one of the biggest ones in the area. That's where I bought all my vehicles from. They said that they do the work and they would guarantee the work, but they just couldn't guarantee the parts. It was just under $5000 for all the work. The oil cooling system that they put on helps diesel trucks to pull bigger loads and carry heavier items for hauling and stuff like that. We have a RV and we use the F250 for recreation as well. I use the same truck for my construction site. It was really because of the work site and it pulls about 14000 pounds; so it's a lot of extra towing that the truck has to do. That's why I wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to put too much of strain on the truck without enhancing the performance a little bit. The only thing is that Crater Lake Ford Lincoln doesn't warranty the parts. If you buy the parts and bring them there, they won't warranty the parts. They only warranty the craftsmanship to put them in. Most dealerships are like that. You do have to sign an agreement saying that you are not going to come back later and say that the part was faulty or technically defective. It's usually not a big deal when you get the higher end performance parts since they usually come with the warranty. If there are other guys like me especially people who have recreational vehicles that they tow or haul, it's kind of an important thing to do to enhance your hauling vehicle a little bit. A lot of the new wheels are a lot heavier than they used to be. That's because they have all the whistles and bells, the slide outs, the full sized refrigerators, full sized bathrooms and stuff like that. So, they get really heavy. If you don't upgrade the trucks, they break down a lot. That's what I was doing to avoid. Crater Lake Ford Lincoln will do a good job at making sure that your truck is set up to be able to handle the extra towing weights and the size of the vehicles that they are towing or hauling. It's a pretty high-end and high profile shop. The place is spotless like you can eat off the floor. The tools are all high-end and high tech. With the engine and the transmission upgrades that I did, you got to take it to a shop like that. Otherwise, you will end up having a lot more problems. I wanted to keep everything heavy duty because the F250 is a super duty truck. If you don't specify things that it's heavy duty, then they put in cheaper filters, cheaper gaskets and all that kind of stuff. You have to have all the heavy duty stuff to maintain that kind of equipment. They were very professional and constantly in touch with me. They were constantly in communication with me. If they found something that they thought might not work properly or would be on the truck in a certain way that I wouldn't like, they were always calling to let me know and checking in with me. So, I really liked that. Their work was fantastic and spot on. The fact that they kept in touch with me and stayed in communication at all times with me was great. We live some distance from that dealership and I specifically chose them because of the other diesel truck drivers who told me that they were the best in the area. They are expensive, but they are worth it. You do get value when you pay a little extra. Their work was absolutely perfect. When I got the truck back, the whole engine compartment looked completely brand new. It looked like it was just rolled off the assembly line. I appreciate that kind of service when they go a little bit extra. You are paying a little extra, but they go a little extra to make sure that everything is just spot on. Their rate was very competitive for the amount of work they did. The shop that created the bullet proof diesel products is in Arizona. When I called them to tell them what I was doing, they asked me what I was paying to have it installed. I told them and they said that I was getting a great deal. They said that they would have probably charged us about $7500 instead of $5000. So, I was pretty pleased with that. When I first took the truck in, it had 60000 miles on it. The engine had some dirt on it and it was showing its age a little bit since it is 6 years old. When I got it back, I opened the hood and I was blown away. I couldn't believe how spotless, clean and perfect it was. It looked just like I had bought it brand new in 2005. Their responsiveness was good. I didn't get to talk to the actual mechanic a lot. It was all done through the customer representative. Then there is a company representative who handles your account and he was basically the face of the company. I didn't get to talk to the mechanic. I would have liked to talk to the mechanic to get some more of the technical information. They told me the day I could pick up my truck. We live about two and half hours away from them. It was important for us to not have to make multiple trips. When they told me it would be done on a certain day, it was done on that day. I showed up at 8 a.m. When they opened the shop, they had it sitting there ready with the keys so that I could take off in it. They are really responsive. My wife has a Ford Escape that we bought there in 2009. Their service has been just as good. They always call to check and see how we like it. They give us reminders about when the oil changes are due and that kind of stuff. They were always very helpful and very attentive to what we needed as far as scheduling. They handled everything right on the line. I would most definitely use their services in the future too. I will probably buy vehicles from them again from how we were treated. They were very honest. They didn't try to up-sell me on a bunch of other services. So, I was very impressed. I found them in the phone book when we were looking for vehicles. I was just shocked when I saw my truck. It was just amazing and it was like a brand new vehicle. The other thing that is really neat is that they always run your car through a car wash before you come and pick it up. When you pick it up, it's nice and clean. That's part of the service and you don't pay extra for it. You might in your bill, but they don't actually charge you for the car wash and it's another service.
