I just wanted to warn anybody who is planning to rent the house on 4667 Hathaway Drive Medford Oregon or any property thru CPM. This was 1-year of horrible experience due to both the owner and the manager of the house. We were promised to have right to have month to month basis after 1 year. Owner changed this general rule and asked for another year of rental agreement with increased rent. CPM is always against the renter in these scenarios rather than being neutral or fair. We had to move within a 1 month. (We later learned from CPM, the property manager, that the owner has right to exercise this IF HE OR SHE WANTED- but we were not told that in the beginning; we were clearly told that we would get month to month lease after 1 year of lease-but verbally- read the contract in detail and do not trust this provider) We had paid $1645 for deposit. Guess what, we were returned only $347.11. Let me tell you that we lived in this house only 2 person, no kids, no pets for only 1 year. No nails, no stains, nothing other than reasonable wear and tear you can imagine in a year. The story has more to this.. Within our 3 months of move-in, a kitchen fixture failed and leaked into the kitchen floor. This caused to a tear up of whole kitchen floor and appliances during winter, Thanksgiving and Christmas time. We had to live in a motel for about 2 months. We had to go to attorney to claim our money. The house was inhabitable during those repair days. Although, our attorney told us to cut 2 months of rent we only deducted 1 month. Under ORS rental rights we could do so if we wanted.. We deducted only one month but our expenses were clearly more than that. Owner and CPM refused to this in the beginning, but under circumstances and our attorney support, they had to agree. Owner claimed her money from her insurance. To some up, the owner of this house (4667 Hathaway Drive Medford OR) is GREEDY, the manager of the unit CPM real estate is UNPROFESSIONAL. They want to take advantage of RENTERS. So, think twice before renting this unit or any unit thru CPM Property Management.
