 + -1 moreBob Thomas replace the AC manifold hose, checked for leaks and recharged the system. It is now working normally. Total cost was with parts was $246. I saved over $1000 compared to what the Honda Dealership wanted to repair the problem.
Description of Work: My 2009 Honda Fit had an AC refrigerant leak. I had taken it to the Honda Dealer and they diagnosed it as a problem with the AC compressor seal and they wanted to replace the compressor for around $1300 in parts and labor. I wanted to get a second opinion before I had the repair done. so I took it to Bob Thomas.

Description of Work: I had the Alternator and pulleys replaced, Coolant manifold resealed, serpentine belt replaced, plug wires replaced, Power steering pump replaced as well as idler arm replacement and alignment. The work was completed on time and the final price was as we had discussed. Side note: The local dealership had quoted me a similar total price for 1/2 the amount of repairs. They also were prompting me to buy a new vehicle.

 + -1 moreBadly. They broke the tip, had to pull the head. then tried to have the cyclinder head valves and guides replaced without my consent. I ended up very delayed and needed to argue and negotiate the price - ending up paying twice what I expected and had to pay off the cyclinder head rebuilding man to get the heads put back together without the rebuild. They were unapologeitc. I think generally they do ok work but they are not as good as they were, especially back in the days when they were on Central Ave. They've gotten too big to manage their work load and lack communication and coordination. Money hungry is a good description. Glow glug was eventually replaced as was the relay. Fiasco throughout.

 + -1 moreI had taken my Toyota SUV 2002 to another service center who told me that I need a major amt. of work done. My husband then said take it to Bob. I did and he gave me a different list of work that made sense to me. I had him do the work. Now when I need brakes, in the time period he says I will need them I will take my car back to him.
Description of Work: Bob Thomas treats each service with kid gloves. I feel he is honest and knows exactly what my car needs and does not do any unnessary work.
