 + -1 moreRe. the Angie' List rating criteria... Price: Alan's bid price was very reasonable. Quality: We discerned Alan produced excellent quality work when we saw previous work he'd performed. Responsiveness: Alan was quick to get back to us on phone calls, visits to our site, and what's more, he was completely receptive to the copious amount of questions we asked. Punctuality: A rare quality among contractors, but Alan has it. Each time we expected him to our property, he was on time. Professionalism: Upon hearing we were not choosing him, Alan expressed no bitterness. He thanked us for giving him the opportunity to bid the job, thanked me for telling him my reasons for going with another contractor, and wished us well on our project. And I will add one more criteria, Personality: Alan is articulate in communicating, an excellent listener, is serious about his responsibilities, and is extremely pleasant. We knew he would be excellent to work with.
Description of Work: My husband and I were seeking proposals from local contractors to build a long retaining wall to level our hillside property. We solicited five bids. Alan Tuck gave us an excellent proposal for the construction of a retaining wall on our property. Had we not received a competitive bid from someone whose specialty happened to be retaining walls, we would have chosen Alan. However, based on our experience with Alan throughout the evaluation, discussion, and bidding process, we intend to hire Alan for a future project.
