First appt missed. No call. Called again and asked for another appt. I was told I would be "first on the service list". Tech arrived 4 hours late because he stopped at 2 other properties first. I was told I would pay no drive time as the Tech would also gather info for a quote on a new roof and the fact that they had missed the first appt. Two days later it started to rain and the leak area continued dripping. Called and let them know and received ZERO response. I was overcharged on my invoice and never did receive a quote. This company has VERY poor customer service.

During the last rain and wind storm (Saturday, Sept. 28), water started pouring down the inside of one of my windows. We covered the area of the roof with a tarp and waited for Monday. I called Washington Roofing just before 8 a.m. and left a message. They called me back at 8:40 a.m. (same day!) and had two men at my house by 9:45 a.m. that day. I couldn't have asked for better responsiveness. Monty and Keith were professional and courteous in their assessment of my leak and fixed it within two hours. And they cleaned up behind themselves!

Washington Roofing was very professional and courteous every step of the way. They have never done overlays and their quote to do a tear-off for us came in at $6400, with the agreement that if we went with them, they wouldn't charge us for the repairs to the old roof they'd already done. We decided to go with Keystone Builders LLC, who contracted Mike's Construction and Roofing to do the job, for $5128.

We are very pleased with Washington Roofing. Our contractor, Tim Wenger, told us they come in high relative to other roofers but their work is first-rate. Aaron Walker, who gave us Washington's quote, was comfortable with that assessment.

They replaced our roof in a professional manner. Our roof is large with lots of hips and valleys. They provided a fair price and did a good job. No complaints.

I have a flat roof in Portland OR which receives plenty of rain. This was the third roof on the house since it was built in 1990. Until this roof every earlier roof leaked every winter. Rather than have it repaired again in 2009, I looked into a different system from the torch down roofs I had in the past. The bid on the Duro-Last was higher by $6000 or $7000 than another torch down roof, but I was tired of leaks and so got the more expensive roof. Washington Roofing removed the old roof, found the under layment questionable and put in another layer of plywood and then the new roof. Our house is three stories tall from the area where vehicles could be driven so the materials had to be put on the roof with a large lift. The old roof was off and enough of the new roof installed to be watertight in 2 days. All mess was cleaned up and the entire roof was installed quickly. I waited for a year to make this report to see if leaks would develop. No leaks.

Overall, it could have gone a little smoother. First, they were about a month late in starting the one day job. Second, it took them three tries to get the job done right. They added the new gutters where requested, but installed one of the down spouts right smack down against the driveway leaving no room for any run off device. The hole they repaired in one gutter was not completely patched, with a 1/4 inch hole still existing. They left nails, screw and shards of gutter around the driveway, yard and front steps. And they left the old gutter hardware on the house. I called back and they apologized promising to come back out and raise the one down spout, clean up the debris, patch the hole and remove the old hardware. They came back and raised the gutter and patched the hole but failed to clean any of the debris or remove the old hardware. I called back, they agreed to come back out and take care of these remaining two items. They did. And now everything is in order.
