Darren cleared the shower head, told us we needed a new one, but also told me how to keep the current one running.  He cleared the bathroom hot water faucet and showed me what was blocking it.  He also showed me the gunk that was causing that faucet to spray, whether hot or cold water.  The bathtub faucet, serviced before by this company, was serviced again.  I supplied the new parts he put in.  He completed the job and the bathtub faucet worked fine, but within eight days it fell apart again.  A repair I'd done previously on this same faucet worked for months before falling apart.  Perhaps the design of this faucet or its current state of wear requires it to be replaced. I would have appreciated knowing this rather than another very temporary repair being made.

I went to Lowe's and purchased two new sets of faucets for the bathtub.  On a return visit, Darren explained that neither would work.  He took apart the bad faucet and found a part damaged that he did not see before.  He was able to replace that part and we haven't had a problem with it since.

He took apart the sink faucet again and saw another problem he hadn't noticed before.  He replaced the faulty part with something as close as Lowe's could match it, but which didn't have the stop the original part had.  He explained it would not be exactly like the old part, and told us he'd try to order a matching part and put it in later.

They came back to us later to tell us a matching part could not be found, and did we want him to replace the faucets entirely.  We said we're happy with the second repair and will work with what's been done.

We were invoiced for another $90, even though the second visit involved repairs done to stuff Darren had already worked on once.  When this was explained to Mac Heating and AC, Bob told us to ignore the second invoice. 

All in all, we are satisfied with their service.  They made right on the work not done properly the first time, and didn't charge us for the second visit once we reminded them that work done on that visit should have been done in the first place.

We originally found Mac P&H on a list of master installers for ductless systems, and they proved to be just that. Their familiarity with the ductless systems was evident. Don came out to bid the job and did a tremendous job of explaining how the system would work and what our options were. He was very careful to explain the different incentives that went along with the different options and made sure we knew that they wanted to do what was right for our needs and our budget. Don was very thorough in his measurements (much more so than the other firms that came to bid) and we got a great sense that all variables were being considered. When the time came for the installation, GIlbert and his apprentice showed up on time and were very friendly and hard working. The finished the job from start to finish in two days. Each night, they cleaned up and you couldn't even tell they'd been there. They did a tremendous job of dressing the exterior facings of the system so that when the house gets painted, they'll be virtually unnoticeable. They also arranged for the electrician to come out and complete his work exactly when he was needed. After everything was installed, Gilbert went through the controls and maintenance for each head and made sure I knew how everything worked. The day after the install, Don phoned back up to make sure everything had gone according to plan and that we were happy. We were!! Outstanding, professional work!! Couldn't have been more pleased! We will definitely recommend Mac Plumbing and Heating to any friends that are looking for ductless heat pumps.

THEY WERE GOOD, EXCEPT THAT IT TOOK THEM 3 OR 4 MONTHS LONGER THAN THEY SAID IT WAS GOING TO. I DIDN'T GET ALONG WITH THE PERSON WHO CAME TO DO THE WORK, SO IT WAS A REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION.
