From the demo to the finish work JC and his employees did a remarkable job in turning a little rancher into a stunning three bedroom home.  He is the best contractor I ever worked with, period.  And I have forty five years in the industry.

He was very pleasant and professional. He always let me know the schedule ahead of time and if there were any changes, he notified me immediately. He answered all the questions that I had via e-mail or via phone. The work was all done beautifully and his subcontractors did a great job. I am very happy with the end result.

JC built a flooring system beneath my house to create a 500 sq.ft. storage area.  He worked with Parr Lumber on joist design and I used that design to submit for permit.  JC did all the work himself with the assistance of one other individual.  The work was performed on-time, when scheduled and was completed slightly under original estimate.  JC actually accommodated my schedule even though he was working another project.  JC if very personable and professional.....I would HIGHLY
RECOMMEND him for use as a contractor and will definitely use his services again if needed.

We have used JC Donnelly Construction a couple of other times, and as always, they did excellent work and are very professional and easy to work with.
They found that we had some dry rot and mold on our south facing part of our house when they had come out to replace a window trim board for us.  They peeled back our house until they didn't see any more evidence of these problems.  It turned out to only be about a 5x5 space thankfully, and they repaired it with their high quality work really quickly.  They caulked that area and other areas on the front of our house that needed it.

Mr. Donnelly displayed excellent oversight, sub-contractor recruitment, as well as workmanship in preparing for and completing the new parts plus remodeling the existing parts.  He showed very dedicated professionalism in keeping within the timeline needed for the work to be finished.  He also had great patience with challenges when working with materials from multiple sources and purchased independently by the homeowner.

 He kept the homeowners informed of all scheduling and asked for input, when needed, in a very professional and timely manner.  He was very efficient in his use of sub-contractors, time, and materials.  Mr. Donnelly and all the sub-contractors displayed a very high level of craftsmanship.

We purchased a home and when we went to replace eight 6'x4' windows, the window company found dry rot. Due to outstanding reports on Angies List, we hired JC Donnelly Construction to work on the house. After investigating further, we determined that there were two layers of improperly installed siding and no sheathing on our house. That was just the beginning.....as JC, Kris and Tyler tore off siding, they found additional dry rot, bug and rodent infestation, faulty wiring, poor insulation in some areas, improperly installed windows, and one area that had no foundation. Obviously, we had a poor home inspector when we purchased the home! JC was great about sending me pictures of everything they found. They ended up removing an entire wall of the house due to dry rot and a rotten header. We were so impressed with their honesty, hard working attitude, and craftsmanship, we decided to have them replace siding on the entire house; install new exterior doors, lighting, door hardware, and a storm door; build a covered area over one entrance; repair a potential leak in the roof; and install brackets on the exposed beams on the inside of the house. They were oustanding! They showed up for work at 7:30 every morning and were in constant communication with us. Their subcontractors (electrician, insulation installers and sheetrockers) were also reliable and excellent. I can't say enough good things about JC Donnelly Construction. We have many future construction projects on our home over the next few years--the largest will be gutting the interior of the house and remodeling--and JC will be the only contractor we'll call. He is honest, reliable, personable, skilled, and a perfectionist. We couldn't be happier!!! I highly recommend JC Donnelly Construction for all your projects!

JC Donnelly was verbally recommended to me by a friend 3 years ago when we first moved into our home. In December 2010, we were ready to make a change and we called him for an estimate. JC responded in a timely fashion, his estimate seemed about right so we proceeded with the project. This was a positive adventure for us. We demurred to JC's opinion when decisions were in doubt. He explained, but did not push on decisions and we are very happy with the results. JC was flexible with us as we decided to do some of our own painting and as the job progressed we add a couple of additions to the project. The group of professionals (electrician, plumber, cabinet makers, painters) were here as scheduled, competent & courteous. We had never done anything like this before and JC Donnelly Const made it an overall great experience.

We called JC in regards to a floor repair issue that we needed. He came out the next day to do an estimate, and in the process figured out that it was a much more minor issue: our floorboard was rubbing against the wall and wasn't loose after all. He offered to put in some shims to prevent the squeaking from happening, and fixed it on the spot in a matter of a few minutes! We were so pleased to avoid an expensive repair, and since we had used him this past fall for a different house remodel project, he wouldn't take payment for this repair. So generous! We look forward to having him and his crew work on our future home projects.

They were neat and they did job like they said they would. They were nice and friendly. They did a good job and I would use them again.

JC responded to my estimate request within 24 hours (on a Friday) and let me know that he would contact me the following Monday regarding when we could do the estimate. He called when he said he would and we scheduled the estimate appointment within a couple of days. JC was friendly and took meticulous notes and measurements. He answered my questions. I immediately felt comfortable with him and knew that he and his crew would do great work. I received my estimate in a few days and it was very detailed in how it was broken down for costs. And best yet, it was a very good price...much lower than another bid that I had done from another company. JC drew out the plans for me to turn in for the permit I needed from the city (for the exterior door to our crawl space) and had his cabinet maker begin making the cabinets. Everything was so well executed: the ordering and planning for materials, the prompt arrival time on the agreed upon date, how the team of 3 met over the plans to determine how they were going to to go about their work, and the finish time within 1 work day. Impressive! We are so happy with our new crawl space door and space-adding cabinets. We will definitely contact JC Donnelly Construction in the future for any remodeling needs that we may have!

We chose to go with them as we had such a great experience the first time. I don't think you could find a better contractor. They offer high quality service at a reasonable rate. They also offer helpful suggestions for projects which is much appreciated.

They did a great job and they were very professional. They were on time and they did everything very quickly. They did a thorough clean up.

I had used him before. I am glad that he had solved a problem that we had had even after a different remodel job. He took the time to do the job right this time. He has good sub-contractors. I feel that he does excellent work!

We have used JC for a variety of remodeling projects over the past five years beginning with a major remodel of our 1960's style ranch home. We always go back to JC because we could not get better work for a reasonable cost.

These guys are a homeowner's dream. They helped us with deck design, were flexible and patient with changes, requests and questions. They showed up when they said they would (if they needed to skip a day or two they'd always let us know). Their workmanship was beautiful. Our new deck is better than we had hoped for. I particularly appreciated their daily clean up, and the site was totally clean when they finished the project. I would not hesitate to have them back to work on other remodeling projects in the future. Worth every penny!
