 + -1 moreIt went horrible, I will never use this company again. On the other hand, Portland Perks has been exceptional and they are refunding my costs. DO NOT USE OREGON BEACH VACATIONS - buyer beware! SCAM!
Description of Work: SCAM ALERT - I purchased certificates from Portland Perks, having checked out the available homes beforehand. I went through a very long process...waited for the certificates in the mail. Went to redeem them... what a joke. I called the number on the certificate and was told that they would send me an email with instructions. I got the email and was instructed to pick 3 properties from the provided lists and email them to the office along with scanned copies of the certificates. I found the house that we wanted and requested it (due to open dates on the calendar) and am now told that the house "has used up all of their participating nights allotted for the Gift Certificate Program". Argh!!! I purchased the certificates due to the fact that the house we were interested in was included in the offer. No where was it mentioned that there would be a limited number of vouchers to use on a home. This program is very misleading. I suggest Oregon Beach Vacations clearly states that houses have a limited number of voucher redemptions, urging customers to make reservations early, and also to update the house listing as they become unavailable to this program. I will no longer utilize Oregon Beach Vacations and have requested a complete refund through Portland Perks (by the way, whom were excellent to deal with over the phone). I will never use Oregon Beach Vacations again and strongly urge others to stay away.

I paid the above amount, in addition to several other fees, taxes, and a security deposit. About a week after leaving, I emailed the company to redeem my security deposit, and they said I had to wait thirty days to do so. At the beginning of September (thirty days after the departure date), I called them and they said they would send a message to the accounting department. I waited until the end of the week and I left another message. Today I called again and was bounced from one voicemail to another, and have yet to redeem my security deposit. Overall, the stay at the house would be an "A," but the grades below reflect my experience with the company so far.
Description of Work: I rented a house in Portland from this company for a portion of the summer.

 + -1 moreThe service was a nightmare!! We stayed for 2 nights. There were 13 of us there total. The day of check out, we were running about 30 mins late. Pretty benign and in all the hotels/cottages I've paid for this has NEVER been a big deal. Anyway, check out was at 11. At 10:55 the housekeepers barged in without knocking and yelled at us to leave. It was rude, offensive and unprofessional. Then they started to clean while we were trying to get out, making snide comments. We explained that we wanted to get it ready for them but they refused and kept making rude comments. The house was NOT bad at all. The owner stopped by the evening before and SAW the house (okay, kind of weird, but at least he was nice) and even gave us a bottle of wine & apologized for a carpet stain that prev guests made, so we knew that he wasn't concerned. My friend emailed corp 2x explaining and have NEVER heard back from anyone. Talk about adding insult to injury. If you want professional svs, rent from BELLA BEACH.
