I go to Les Schwab mainly for tires and batteries. I have done so for decades in various Oregon cities. I now use the shop in Lincoln City, Oregon.
I consistently receive quick, professional service at Schwab, which was true when I had winter tires changed over this past April on our two cars at the same time. They have a decent waiting area with coffee, vending machines, popcorn, television, etc. My experience has been that they are not a and quot;discountand quot; tire place, but that they are quick and professional and are very good with service after the fact and with warrantee work. I had an air leak in a winter tire on one car that was difficult to figure out, and one of their guys spent a great deal of time checking it out at no charge. I also went in at closing time with a weak battery (and had to leave on a trip the next day), and the manager stayed open an extra half-hour to replace the battery for me, at what I thought was a reasonable cost.
That is a key reason why I continue to go to Schwab for tires and batteries. Another aspect of that service is that you can get help at ANY Les Schwab in the region when you need tires repaired, etc. They all honor the warantees.
There are times when the folks at Schwab push some of the upselling for things like transmission servicing that I sense is too conservative and self-serving, but I just leave that to my main car mechanic to take care of.
Overall, I highly recommend the Les Schwab in Lincoln City, Oregon.

our tire lug nuts sheared off and we were driving around a turn and wheel came off.. luckily we were going slow and not much damage was done to body of truck - guys at les schwab got new lug nuts ,wheel and repaired all within 2 days! didnt charge an arm and leg and we felt safe and would definetely go back for any tire repair or new tires!!
