Description of Work: We met Ryan Schweitzer at the Linn Co. Home and Garden show in April. Along with three other contractors, we asked Ryan to come to our home and give us a bid on the possibility of building a work shop - storage room on the side of our garage. All four contractors came. Two were not interested in our job because it included relocating the power source to the house. One would do a much smaller version of the addition but for a larger amount of money. Ryan took his time to do his homework before placing his bid. He contacted the City of Albany to make sure our plans fit the criteria of the city. He also contacted and consulted with Pacific Power to determine what would be necessary in moving the power box while coordinating the building. We also have a very large, old maple tree with heavy surface roots in the area that we did not want damaged. Ryan gave a lot of consideration to the best way to approach the situation. In the end, he came to us with plans and a bid. We accepted his ideas and plans and he went to work. Although he was hindered by an unexpected snow storm and an unusual amount of rain, he got the job completed in a timely manner, He checked in almost daily to keep us informed of when to expect him or his sub-contractors to arrive and what they would be doing. He listened to concerns and answered questions with patience. We are more than happy with the completed room and are anxious to have Ryan do the nest project we are budgeting for next year.
