Our experience with Deborah Jackson of REMAX Equity group was totally positive. She was the listing agent on the townhome which is our current residence and we liked her enough that we called her to be our listing agent when we were ready to sell our previous residence. First Deborah came to the house and did a walk through with us and spent time explaining any items she felt needed to be addressed to make the house more sellable. Next she expalined all the documents we would sign agreeing she would represent us as our listing agent. After that she checked back with us to see if we needed assistance in readying the house for sale. She also did an analysis of comparable sales in the general area and worked with us to decide on an initial listing price. She then held an open house for Realtors to get their feedback on the property. After the open house, we decided to do a couple minor repairs on the house and Deborah arranged for a contractor to do the work for us. We left soon after that to spend the winter in Arizona and Deborah arranged to have the house staged and began to hold open house weekends. She worked very hard to promote the house and we soon had two offers to consider. After some long distance negotiations involving lots of phone calls, faxes, e-mails etc, one offer was accepted and inspections arranged. A couple minor things showed up on the inspection report and with our agreement, Deborah arranged to have them taken care of immediately and the sale was concluded to our satisfaction. In the current market situation, it is important to have a Realtor who will work hard to sell your property and who will tell you honestly what needs to be done to make the property sell for the best price. Deborah is honest, hard working, courteous and professional and we enjoyed working with her both as buyer and seller.

It has been good so far. I think they did their homework better than any other real estate company I have dealt with. They are good at returning calls. It's ongoing because they have got my house listed, but they haven't sold my house yet. I haven't spent anything yet. I am going to pay a commission. I would consider using them again in the future.

We had our own financing but they basically helped us out with finding a house. We got it closed through them and I think it was fun. Everything was great. They did good service. They were very professional and very attentive. They didn't determine the price, the seller determined it. All they really did was to show us the house. Once we decided that's the house we could afford, they helped us close on it and did all the paperwork. So the price was not relevant. I can't think of any problems that we had and everything was up to par. As a matter of fact, I have already talked to our agent. We are going to retain him next time maybe five years down the road or whenever we sell or buy and use him for both buying and selling.

Marlene is WONDERFUL. She notices things about the houses that I would never think of...resale value, roof quality, work to be done, neighborhood. I really appreciate her knowledge and willingness to keep showing me around until I find the right house. My expense is zero because the seller pays her commission.
