"Dear Ingrid, I am sorry for this conflict. Your husband was onsite during the entire repair and approved of all actions and expenditures while you were elsewhere over the two separate day were were at your home. He later called and paid the outstanding balance. You are basically saying, your husband has no decision making authority in the household. It is not our desire to inject ourselve into relationship issues. The following is our email response during our discussions. "Dear Ingrid, I'm sorry we are having this difference of opinion on our charges for work performed at your home. We are a reputable company and operate with honesty and integrity. Our reviews will back that up. My understanding is that we arrived on 6/12 and 6/25 and performed work. The work on 6/12 has been paid. The work on 6/25 is contested, $676.74 balance. The invoice summaries from both visits are listed below. Invoice Summaries: 6/12 Invoice Summary, $660. Balance Paid. Estimated labor at $300-500. Materials not estimated. Pick-up and delivery of toilet added to scope of work. "Found and fixed leak in shower. Installed a toilet." 6/25 Invoice Summary, $676.74 Balance overdue. Balance includes $100 discount. Estimated labor at $400-600. Materials not estimated. "Patched ceiling, sanded, primed, and painted garage door trim with customer supplied primer and paint, patched front door frame, primed and painted patch with customer supplied primer and paint, caulked front door bottom to prevent any further water damage. Will need return trip to texture and paint ceiling. Return should be done in two hours." The charges on the second date were contested. The office offered a $100 discount to resolve the situation. You then requested an additional $336.74 discount for a total of $436.74 in discounts. After reviewing this matter in detail, the $100 discount was not warranted and was a good faith effort to resolve the situation. The additional discounts requested are not warranted. However, the original $100 discount will remain in place, leaving an outstanding balance of $676.74. Please pay this balance by the 4pm on 8/2/2024 by calling 503-773-9201. Not doing so may subject you to our collections process in which we are contracted with Capital Credit and Collections." Regarding the matching of the paint, we clearly state on our second invoice that we would need to return and complete that task. We did not match this paint."
