I had some venting that was wrapped in asbestos removed and all of the asbestos seem taping removed from all the venting. Greg was great to work with. He was responsive, prompt, answered all my questions, and easy to communicate with. His crew did a great job - they were punctual, and left the area very clean and did a thorough job.

Everything went fine.  The estimator, Ken Brien was on time for our appointment and submitted the bid promptly.  Scheduling was easy and reasonably soon after I selected their bid.  The crew arrived on time and went right to work and the job was completely finished in mid-afternoon, just as promised.  Clean up was excellent and followup paperwork arrived as promised.

I called three companies and received three quotes, two of them over the phone. Lake Oswego Insulation's bid was not the lowest but it was the only company of the three who took the time to come out and review the job before offering me an estimate.

I initially contacted the company through its website. I was very clear in my message about the date on which I wanted someone to come to my house to review the work and give me an estimate, yet one of the staff members consistently misread and misinterpreted my instructions and tried to come by at a time when I was not home. (This is why I gave the company a "C" on responsiveness.) Once Ken Brien contacted me, things went smoothly, and he personally visited my house and wrote up my estimate. The work was completed on the date I requested, and the crew completed its work within two hours. The price included the permits, removal and disposal costs. I am very satisfied with the completed work and would call Lake Oswego Insulation again if I needed its services.

VERY positive experience with this company.  We worked with John Mayer and he could not have been more professional.  Punctual bid and work.  They demolished our basement ceiling (approx 750 sf) and removed all of our old asbestos wrapped pipes.  It took them several days but they arrived and finished on schedule and cleaned up after themselves.  There were a couple of pipes they missed (due to cabinetry) and they came back promptly to take care of it.  We also expanded the scope of the job and they took care of removing the additional cabinetry at no additional charge.  We have been remodeling the house and have worked with many contractors in the past few months and LOI deserves top ratings in all categories.

They were professional, responsive and came on time. They were very clean and neat, and their pricing was reasonable as well. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

Ken came to provide estimate which was much lower than other company (Ken's included reinsulation - from an outsourced company, and they did a fabulous job). I was able to schedule them when I needed them. Two workers came ontime, lined and covered the entire work area, did their work, had an outside company test the quality of air left in the basement, and left the site perfectly clean. The reinsulation worker was scheuduled a week later and did a beautiful job, and again, left the space clean. There were no problems, they showed a carefulness and concern for any of my worries, were kind and great to work with.

Removing this insulation was necessary for upcoming replacement of my old gas furnace and ductwork. I got a quote from another contractor for approximately $260 per boot, so I then considered doing the work myself. After looking into the work and the safety precautions I would have to take, I decided to get another bid. Because of the tight schedule with the electrician and HVAC people, I only had one day available for the insulation to get taken care of, which was beginning to cause a fair amount of stress. I called Lake Oswego Insulation on a Thursday night (approximately 1 1/2 weeks before the furnace install). Ken from the company called back about 8 am the next day and was out at the house a few hours later to give me an estimate. To my surprise, the cost was about a third of what the other guys had given me and he could do the work on the only day available. The day of the work, Ken returned with two guys who would be doing the work. All of the workers were professional and easy to work with. My family and I left while they worked and when we returned in the afternoon everything was finished and exceptionally clean. The furnace install went off without a hitch. And, the price for the work was exactly what I had been quoted!

I was very impressed with the honesty and integrity displayed. Rather than going ahead with the mold abatement services I had assumed I needed, John let me know that the proble was not that bad and that it could be dealt with much more cost effectively by a dry wall contractor. I am so appreciative of John's help! I would not hesitate to call or recommend LOI for mold issues.

There's not a whole lot of folks that do this listed on Angie's List. We did a lot of fruitless back-and-forth with a couple of companies and the communication was beyond difficult. I called and talked to John Kerekes who I believe came out the next day. He knew our tight schedule and helped to get the paperwork through so it could be done in time. His costs were reasonable and we were glad to get the mess out of the house. The hardwood guy got in right on schedule so this place saved the day.

Everything went very well. Their services fit our needs nicely. Their schedule seemed a bit tight for the removal, but since we were scheduling four weeks out, it worked okay for us. The man I mostly worked with, John, was informative and friendly. He answered my questions and came in the morning of the project to get things going. They had someone come later in the afternoon to check air quality.

I met with Ken Brien when he came to the house to see the ceiling. He was happy to explain the process and how everything would be done to prevent asbestos from escaping. A day or two after we met, he sent me a proposal by email. I checked several references provided by Ken, and they had very positive things to say. On the agreed upon start date, the crew arrived promptly at 8am, and Ken was there to introduce me to the team. They got right to work and finished the job in three days, just as Ken had estimated. Given the nature of the work, I wasn't able to observe them in action (they even posted a sign that said authorized personnel only -- they were serious), so I can only say that they were very professional and left the area better than when they arrived.
