John replaced the fence between a neighbor and I. John did a great job with the fence except that he initially attached the new horizontal fence poles with an old 22 year old fence post. I called him right away when I noticed and told him to replace the old post which he did right away. He didn't complain, but I was surprised that he would even do that. I was still happy with his work, except that I made the mistake of hiring him to fix my fence gate on the other side of the lawn. To fix the gate he charged me the same price of $100 that he charges to build a new gate (I saw his quote to my neighbors). He said it was $100 because it would take him 2 hours for the repair. He said it would take 2 hours to replace the hinges, reposition the hardware gate, and recut the gate boards to make it less tight between the gate and the post. When I suggested to sand the gate to make it less expensive, he said he would not do that. I gave him the check and left, and was back within an hour. By that time he was gone, and he did replace the hinges and repositioned my gate hardware. However, he had not cut the gate boards, instead he sanded the pole right next to the gate that is cemented into the ground. He didn't do what he said regarding the gate boards, and it didn't take him the 2 hours of labor.

John and his brother Roman were fantastic. They were on time, polite, built a gorgeous fence, and very reasonably priced. I would recommend them very highly.
