Description of Work: Dave's Palisades was recommended to me for DEQ service on my VW Vanagon, that they were quick, honest and fair. I dropped my van off on 2/18/09; the manager called the next day to tell me I needed a new battery and he could sell and install one for me for around $118.00 - seemed very expensive to me. I went to Les Schwab and bought a battery and dropped it off on the 20th. (I should have installed the battery myself, but left it for Dave's since it was dark out.) A week later I still hadn't heard if the van was ready. I called and left a message on 2/27; the following day the manager called me back to say the van had been ready for several days. I felt this was very unprofessional. Then I went to pick the van up and pay the bill. The total bill came to $213.70....this for a DEQ adjustment! The bill notes on it: "Install owner supplied battery - old battery was over sized and tough to remove - adjust to pass DEQ - run through DEQ." I felt the bill was also very unprofessionally noted...no breakdown per service performed. This is the first time I've seen an auto service bill so generalized. So, I have no idea how long it took or how much money I spent on battery replacement and what exactly was done on the DEQ adjustment and how much I spent on that portion of the bill. Of course, the manager was not present at that time since it was after 6:00 pm, and I had to pay the bill and get my van that night.

 + -1 moreThey have great customer service. They will call you the same day when it is done. I can't recommend them enough. They are very reasonable price wise. They give me advice when buying cars. One time I was short on money for gas and he just let me run a tab. They are very honest and trustworthy.
Description of Work: They do all our maintenance on our car and any problems that come up.
