The people who work here are super nice. They try to be helpful, are easy to communicate with, and quick to schedule. That said, my experience wasn’t completely positive. My estimator, who again was a very nice guy and tried to be helpful, lost his moisture meter right before my appointment. Without it, he couldn’t tell definitively whether my moisture problems were old (I replaced the roof) or ongoing. He was also in a visible state of anxiety and (understandably) wanted to leave as quickly as possible to search for that expensive piece of equipment. Later, when the scope of work came in, everything looked good - but when the technician arrived on the day of the treatment, it took some effort to convince him the flooring needed to be removed, which was in that scope of work. I dug that scope out of my inbox to show him, just to make sure nothing was missed, and everything seemed good to go. However, we hit a few snags during the treatment. They missed the mold on the drywall just to the left of my back door. My moisture problem was predominantly around both my front and back doors, and with the mold in that spot being clearly visible, the area was specifically included in the scope of work. Just to be sure my painter didn’t disturb the area, I even highlighted the area on the wall with a sharpie! However, it was missed during my mold treatment, and I ended up having my drywall repair guy cut out the moldy section. They also discovered old linoleum under my newer laminate flooring. Understandably, they thought it might have asbestos - but after testing (twice, just to be sure), it wasn’t, and so I was left to deal with the leftover mold in my subfloor all by myself. The last issue came up when I had a construction team out to repair some suspected-leaky windows. The plywood that Certified Mold removed under my windows was part of a structural sheer wall, and apparently should’ve been replaced as soon as possible after its removal. I definitely wanted the mold removed from inside the sheer wall, but it’s certainly helpful to know that the resulting structural impairment would need a rapid resolution - as opposed to the more common case of missing drywall, which is purely cosmetic. With all that said, I believe Certified Mold would be a great hire for attic or crawlspace remediation where the mold is clearly visible and the source of water is easily discernible. However, I would look elsewhere for help with more invasive mold remediation treatments.

The company made arrangements with the tenants of each row home to do treatments at a time convenient for the tenants and treatment was done promptly and professionally.

Amazing. Everyone at Certified Mold Cleaning was great to work with. Did what they said there were going to so, showed up when they said they would show up, answered all my questions, relieved a ton of fears and didn't charge me for a bunch of things I didn't need. JT, Bonnie & Rose are AWESOME

Certified Mold helped us clean up in preparation for sale and came came back after the buyers home inspection found rodents returned after they had finished the original work and other work we had done disturbed insulation and vapor barrier. They showed up when they said they would and got the job. Certified Mold's willingness to work on our timeline helped the sale go as smoothly as it did.

The bid was very competitive and Carlos appeared very knowledgeable from the outset.  As soon as I mentioned that we were on a tight time schedule, they made sure we got a bid and the work completed within five days of our first contact. 

Ultimately we requested this company, and specifically Carlos, to do the work.  Carlos gave me plenty of notice when he was running 15 minutes late and was very professional throughout.  Ultimately he cut three new exhaust vents in the roof and attached the three bathroom fans to the new vents.  He also remediatied  the mold issue though scrapping and then spraying their chemical solution.  The work was completed with in the time frame scheduled and on budget. 

It went very well- we were in a time crunch and thought we were going to have to pay big bucks, but it was extremely reasonable.
