Bluenote Painting

Had a lot of work done Took two days for two coats of paint.

Very involved owner and great crews who have been with the company for many years.  Excellent communication.  Very pleased with their painting inside and out.

Sent us their bids immediately, and were very easy to communicate with;  allowed for last minute changes on orders, with no grumbling!!  They even answered their phone calls/texts on WEEKENDS!!  WITHOUT automatic ROBOTS answering their calls!! Because of unforeseen circumstances we had placed our requests in late summer, but BLUENOTE Painting, was very flexible with our schedules.  They were more pricey than their competitors, however, because of their ability to work around OUR  schedules, we went with them.  ABSOLUTELY, we would recommend BLUENOTE Painting!!

My house was recently painted by Blue Note.  Rick came out - looked it over and gave me on estimate including a small repair job that he noticed and I had not.  The price of the small repair was left open as we would have to wait to see exactly what would be needed.  Couldn't have wanted a more accommodating and professional crew (2 guys) who came out to do the power washing and the four guys who were here to do the painting.  Everything was as agreed, on schedule, and within budget including a return visit to take care of that small blemish.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company and their people.

Positives about Bluenote:

• The bid process was professional and we were confident with Rick's style and the information given.
• Workers arrived on time for the job.
• Bid price was very reasonable compared to competing bids.

Points for Improvement for Bluenote:
Never called prior to appointment to confirm the date or discuss details.

• Did not provide any guidance on color selection (no tips for choosing a color or even information on where to select our color). The color we ended up choosing looked very different from what we expected and we were not satisfied. If you go with Bluenote, I recommend visiting a paint store to discuss tips for color selection prior to selecting a color.
• Although quality was good, some prep work could have used more attention - caulking job was subpar, with missing caulk in some areas or not completely filled in.
• Paint was sprayed on foundation, vent wells, and two windows by mistake.
• No caulking around HVAC conduit into eave vent (was just painted over and not filled in even though Rick confirmed during bid process that this would be completed).

Project quote was much better than other painting companies, and they offer a 10yrs warranty for all their work.
They use Miller paint, local and lifetime warranty.
Rick Thomas was on time for the first appointment, answered all the questions. Easy to communicate with.
Rick came back for a 2nd meeting to go over more details and questions before I signed the contract.
The crew was timely, professional, cleaned after themselves every day.
Had to have a few minor touch-ups to do after they called it good, they had no problem coming back a few days later to complete.

It went great. There were several little things I needed to do prior to being able to schedule the pressure washing and painting and Rick (the owner) was very flexible with me on getting that done. When he contacted me to schedule he asked on the off chance was I ready for pressure washing the next morning as it was going to rain and this is something the crew could do in the rain. He knew it was on the and quot;off chanceand quot; that I would be ready. Turns out the day before I had taken the day off work and cleared out the area on the side of the house to make ready for the painting. So yes, he could schedule for the next day.
Basically everything seemed to go like that. The appointment setting worked perfectly, the crew arrived on time and cheerful. I had time to clear out the side and to take down the gutters. The job went very smoothly and I am very happy with the work. And the color looks great!
