NO OTHER TREATMENTS, No emergency actions taken.... Since it has been several years but I remember my bill was in excess of $15000 dollars !  When I asked for detailed billing information . After several attempts they did send me a coded copy and refused to give me a copy of the codes which they refused to give me.

I filed multiple complaint with BBB and Oregon Department of Justice.....

I believe if you researched Sky Lakes under their previous name of Merle West Medical Center you will find just as many complaints.

I will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone !

I had to be induced because of high blood pressure. The entire staff aside from one nurse was AMAZING. There was only one nurse that I had issues with. She did have an attitude with me, and was late with my medication. I only had her once and that was the day that I was released. The rest of the time the staff and my experience was great.

Walked into Sky Lakes without an emergency type of  care needed. I felt I might have symptoms of a heart attack.
Not feeling sick or dizzy but felt I needed to have it checked out just in case.......
" NO"  emergency care required at all ! Had a routine EKG monitoring. Doctor found nothing unusual in EKG but suggested
I stay overnight for observation. Nothing eventful overnight Required no medication or specialty care !... Walked out the next day
about the same time with no procedures or special care of any kind !
The bill from Sky Lakes hospital for just the overnight stay and not including the doctor that looked at my chart and requiring
no care, just observation, my bill for the overnight basic room stay was over $ 20,000 dollars ! My wife had emergency an
hysterectomy  with blood transfusions and multiple days in specialty care. Her hospital stay was less that the one day they
charged me for no emergency care.  I requested a copy of the bill which they reluctantly gave me. I could not read because of
hospital billing code. Request copy of hospital billing code which to this day I never received. I filed a complaint with the FTC,
BBB and the Dept. of Justice in Oregon. Sky Lakes response was they had competitive prices........ I would not recommend Sky
Lakes to anyone. !!!!!!!!
On another note when my 3 month old grandson was recently admitted for observation for possible breathing issues. My
daughter in law stayed with him overnight. I went to visit and was shocked that the garbage cans in the room were overflowing
with garbage including dirty diapers and gowns from the nurses. This was less that 10 feet from my grandson !
A reception deck out side their room had several women talking whom I confronted about the garbage cans spilling over with
their cloths and dirty diapers only responded that someone would get to it later when they changed the bedding !
I still have pictures of the garbage....

It went well overall. I have never hurt my knee so bad I had to go to them ER. Them doctor was gentle while examining it and testing for ligament damage. His bedside manor was friendly, and he didn't make me feel rushed when I had questions. He answered all of them thoroughly and took more time with me then I did waiting for him. Usually you find out more from them discharge papers about what's wrong then from your doctor but, I didn't learn anything that he didn't already explain to me. Didn't tell me to just see my primary care physician so I could be told I need to see a knee surgeon, he automatically told me he believed I had hurt some ligaments and told me to schedule with them knee surgeon I feel most comfortable with. Also, I didn't have to wait another hour to be discharged after he left. I was out within ten minutes of him leaving them room. That is a credit to my nurse and the physical therapist who gave me my brace and took time to show me how to properly put it on. Overall I was happy with them visit.

My insurance was billed for over $20,000 for my overnight stay. I contacted them and requested numerous times for the
medical records. I finally received them but was unable to read them because the charges were in a hospital billing code.
I requested a copy of the code so I could see what my insurance was billed for. They stated they would not be available to me.
The $20,000 was just for the overnight stay and the doctors that reviewed my charts were billed and paid separately.
I questioned the charges with no response from the hospital... I filed a consumer complaint against Sky Lakes Hospital with
the Oregon Department of Justice , The Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. The hospital response
was that their prices were competitive with the rest of the industry and could never explained the $ 20, 000 charge for my overnight
observation stay.  I  find it hard to believe there has not been a federal investigation into the fees charged by this hospital.
I would and do not recommend this Hospital ( Sky Lakes ) to anyone ! ! ! ! !

I have no dislikes at all. They have been wonderful to us. They are very thoughtful. They even take off their shoes when they come in our home because we have white carpet. They are very thoughtful in little details like that. They have been very gracious.

Went in as a precaution ekg monitored and asked to stay overnight for observation .. NO emergeny medical treatment of any kind ! Checked in about noon and out the next day around the same time with no signs of unusal ekg or other symptoms of heart issues ... Received bill from Skylake Hospital which was close to $ 20,000 dollars.. I was shocked since I was there for observation only with no treatments. I requested a detail billing list of my stay .. The list was long for items and service I had no clue were for. I requested the code to translate their billing which they refused to give me ... They must have felt my insurance which covered the majority would be fine . I was still left with a $2500 copay which I eventually paid ... I would have to be knocked out before I use that facility again... I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau,The Federal Trade Commission and the Oregon Department of Justice as a consumer complaint for overbilling.......
