I URGE YOU TO FIND ANOTHER COMPANY TO FULLFILL YOUR TINY HOME DREAMS! My Vintage tiny home was delivered in January of 2018. When I went through the home, I found a list of problems that filled two columns on a sheet of paper. The problems consisted of everything from the wrong roof color to the wrong flooring and everything in between (no caulking around the kitchen sink so water ran through, no caulking around the shower, etc., etc.). The most dire problems were with the electricity. The county deemed the house uninhabitable and a fire danger because of the state of the electricity. My electrician was appalled at the lack of safety and workmanship. Vintage did pay the over $500 to repair it and fixed some of the other problems. Dealing with these initial problems went on for over a month and was time-consuming and discouraging. (The Vintage employee who came out to fix some of the problems shared with me that they are constantly having to do these after-delivery fixes, and shared some of the major problems that past homes had.) In October of 2019 the roof started to leak significantly. I had gone with a metal roof because they are supposed to last. My partner tried to figure out what was wrong, but was unable to, so put a tarp on it. When I contacted Joe about this (several months had gone by as I experienced the death of my partner), I received no help whatsoever. After one reply email, he actually ignored my emails and texts. Yes, the one-year warranty had expired, but an honorable company would certainly stand behind their workmanship and claims to provide a “high-quality tiny house”. High quality tiny houses do not come with such extensive problems and a roof that didn’t even make it to the two-year mark. Yes, these tiny homes may be inexpensive, but there’s a reason. Please save yourself the ongoing hassles and find another option. I want better for you!
