Gary was a pleasure to work with, and his crew did excellent work. Gary took our input and designed a low-maintenance, drought resistant plan for us with automated irrigation. He went the extra mile when he discovered a corroded pipe that needed to be replaced.

I highly recommend Gary Krause as a contractor who will do your project and do it well. I wanted some raised garden beds built and I developed the plan and purchased all the materials. I needed a team to do this heavy work and and the two men Gary sent were very polite, respectful and hard-working. Additionally, their attitude and work ethic were superb. I simply can't say enough good things about the workers. I am very happy with the results. The garden beds are fantastic. I would hire GK Landscapes again.

The last day Shane found one more main line leak and came back the 3rd day just to fix that one problem and even when replacing that one part of the main line, put that entire section into a reinforced pipe sleeve because it was so close to the big tree that was causing all the problems in the first place. I would totally recommend this team of pros. They're good, knowledgeable, fast workers and very thorough.

He insisted on using hardscape for retaining raised beds, and making one continuous L-O-N-G raised be about 30 ft long. I did not want hardscape, nor did I want continuous long beds. I requested 4'x8'. About 6 with steps down to each level. I guess he really did not want to make them to my vision, only his. His prices for this was $6k-$8k. His web site does not show anything for gardens or raised beds, only driveways, patios and such. He charged me $65 just to come out to evaluate my vision, as he was in my area.

Gary and Chase went out of their way to come to my home just a couple of hours after contacting. They quickly analyzed the problem and went about to make the repair of running water in my irrigation line due to a break which was costing me a lot of extra $$$$ and wasting water. They were quick and also did a great job of clean up afterwards. Gary showed me the issue before repairing, explained what needed to be done and then set about to make the necessary repair quickly. I found the owner to be hands-on, extremely ethical, fairly priced, and also guaranteed the work and parts for a year. Please don’t hesitate to contact this business for irrigation repairs or for other work. They are terrific and very friendly.

The original call to Gary Krause was to help us bird-dog low flow to sprinklers through one valve after supply line replacement. The valve in question was diagnosed to have a bad selinoid so Gary's recommendation was to replace the bad valve, accompanying valve, and reconfigure plumbing. The valve clicked when accuated and given the age off the system it seemed likely that the valve was bad and also likely a water flow constraint. On that basis, repair was authorized.
The final work was outstanding; the problem with the sprinkler flow remained, $400 later. He then recommended American Leak Detection which also seemed logical at the time versus the option of digging up lines looking for leaks. For $250, ALD identified no leaks but pointed to the new 3/4 inch (homeowner installed) supply that replaced the old 1 inch supply as the reason for flow problems. A little subsequent sprinkler management took care of the issue. Problem solved!
In the final analysis, I probably needed to get the valves replaced anyway and his responsive and capable assistant did a wonderful rework of my valve box. My only question is should an experienced irrigation person have noticed the discrepancy between the original and current supply line size and pointed out that inadequate supply was another possible issue? If that had been the case I could have chosen to try eliminating some sprinkler heads on my own as a first option, potentially costing me only the $65 first call charge. I don't know the answer to my question but learned some expensive lessons for the next go-round. The advice I would give then would be that Gary can do some really good work but may not be the best one to call if you you need a bird-dog.

Gary Krause Landscaping and Design was very good. He knows what he is doing, he is very informative, he is educated, thorough in his business, he delivered what he said he would, just that he ended up with problems that he had not anticipated, neither had we, so that was not his fault. Hopefully, after the snow, the plans will be surviving. I would recommend him. Given everything that went on, the price was fair.

Gary gave an estimate on work required to repair in-ground sprinklers.
Though the estimate was more than I was willing to pay at the time, he
did provide an inexpensive alternative to solve the issue in the short
term. I found him to be very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
I will be using him in the future for any sprinkler repairs.
