I am beyond thrilled with the outcome! From start to finish the entire process with seamless. The team was highly professional, punctual and courteous. They took the time to understand my vision and provided excellent advice on materials that would best suit my space and budget. Installation process was quick and efficient and the team insured everything was perfectly measured and fitted, and they paid incredible attention to detail.

I can't say enough great things about Galaxy stone works! From a to Z they were excellent! I initially set up my appointment with Claudia. I can't say enough great things about her professionalism and excellent taste. She was so sweet and helpful. At times it can be overwhelming making so many decisions for a bathroom remodel. Claudia helped me every step of the way.. She helped me lay everything out and match it perfectly! She listened to my needs and what I like and in the end I couldn't be happier! Also the gentleman that came out to do the template was very personable and professional. Same with the install from the gentlemen. I would DEFINITELY use them again. Thank you Galaxy Stoneworks!

We under went a full kitchen and master bathroom remodel and Galaxy was the best communicator of all the trades. We met with Claudia and she helped us find the PERFECT granite countertop for our home! We had limited availability in our schedule and she came in to meet us over the weekend. The scheduler called promptly to schedule after we placed our order! Perry the templater was knowledgeable and the process was very efficient. The laser machine he uses is very cool! We wanted to see how the stone would layout, and we were able to do a virtual appointment to see this. When the granite arrived, it was gorgeous! The installers were so kind and professional. They were hardworking to get the granite up our stairs and into our bathroom. The kitchen seam came out beautiful! Thank you Joel (and your helpers, sorry I didn’t write down your names!). We love our Kitchen and Master Bath. We weren’t planning on doing any other spaces, but now we love those rooms so much, it’s time to upgrade the other bathrooms.

Picked out our granite:Oct 23rd Went the next week to pick out the slab because the one we chose had random patterning. Cesar said he would have 3-4 slabs set up for us to choose from. We arrive at the agreed upon time and not only were the slabs NOT pulled and ready to be viewed but Cesar says that there are only 2 to choose from and they have exactly the same pattern so that trip was a complete waste of time but to save face he tells us we are getting both slabs so there will be no worries that there will be enough of the beautiful pattern to utilize. Next comes the template which went fine but when we get the drawing and it clearly is only utilizing 1 slab then we are lied to and Cesar denies saying that he told us we were getting both slabs. It gets better just wait!!! So installation day rolls around Dec 17th and the kitchen countertops were getting a rough edge or should I say we paid for a rough edge and the laundry room and bathroom were not. Low and behold the huge kitchen countertop shows up with the smooth edge. Cesar tells me Monday, December 21st that they are going to do the rough edge on site either the 22nd or 23rd. I emailed the afternoon of the 21st before they closed because he told me he would get back to me that day and he hadn’t and today (22nd) I’ve emailed and my husband has called him and left a voicemail to which we have not received any answer. Does this sound to you like someone you’d want to do business with? If it is I suggest you record every conversation you have.

This is the second time I’ve worked with Galaxy Stone Works on replacing my kitchen countertops. There pricing is phenomenal, in fact, they beat Home Depot’s discounted price. But what is most amazing is their quality and service. I wished that all the contractors on my remodel project were like Galaxy- they got everything right the first time! I applaud their attention to detail, excellent communication, timeliness and quality of service and installation. I never had any issues, it all went perfectly. And the countertop is beautiful. Thank you to the whole team at Galaxy. Thanks Heather, who turned around a quote for me in about an hour and was able to meet my fast timeline.

They took the time to walk us through all options. They showed up when they said they would and did a very professional job.

Workers arrived on time, removed old counter-top and installed new Quartz one. Prior to installation, they measured the area with a laser, provided a drawing of the counter-tops to be installed, with measurements and location of Sink. Installation went smoothly and the seam between two panels is nearly invisible.  However, one small portion appeared to be installed backwards. They re-surfaced the exposed edge and we approved the job. About a week later, Galaxy called to ensure our satisfaction. We mentioned the portion that appeared to have been installed incorrectly and our marginal satisfaction with the re-surfacing of the exposed edge. Galaxy sent out a manager to address the edging, determining rotating the piece 180 degrees provided the best surface and the least rework. We are very pleased with the product and this provider and recommend them.

Arrived on time. Installation went very well. Workmanship excellent. The seams are completely invisible!

Communication problems with Macadam regarding the demolition of the old tile countertop. Installation of quartz countertop was not exceptional, wall damage and improper fit. Would avoid using again.

Kameron and Lyman came out from Galaxy to measure our counters so that they could precisely cut the stone for our kitchen , they were both great guys and knew exactly what had to be done. When the Granite arrived for installation , Nathan the installer did a great job and when all was finished I had to point out any seams in the stone to my wife because Nathan definitely knows his trade.

They were very clean about their work and I would definitely recommend Galaxy to anyone who needs a top notch job.

The installers were excellent at their job...Nathan did a wonderful job with the granite and upon completion I had to point out the seams ( only one in the whole job ) to my wife because she couldn't find it....."Perfect" ! They were very punctual and were there when they said they would be...very clean and knowledgeable and would most assuredly use Galaxy again and recommend them to anyone who asks. "Thank You Galaxy"

It was phenomenal. I have the most gorgeous granite. I have this sink that fits that doesn't leak. They educated me about granite so I knew what to get and what to expect when I got home so that's great. Their cut is precision. They recommended that we take our sink to them. They picked it up when they came to do a laser measurement. They waited until our cabinets were completely installed which was wise and then they took laser measurement of the counter. They installed the sink for us and when this countertop was put in, it is a perfect fit. They told us to make sure that we had everything here and so we did. It is beautiful. It fits absolutely perfect. The granite cut around the U shape of the stove is absolutely perfect. You can't drop crumbs between the stove and the countertop. I've got a $4,000.00 stove that weighs 400 pounds that they shoved in there and it is a perfect fit. It was hard having everything done like they wanted so I had to make sure it was delivered before they did that laser measure on the countertop which is tough. You have to coordinate everything to be as they asked or as they request or recommend. That way, you get what looks good in the end. I'm absolutely so pleased. It's a jaw dropping kitchen. It's beautiful. It is the right amount of money. They were the best as far as price. They were right on time. It was amazing how it flowed. This team was a good team. We'll use them again.

The actual installers were very nice with a very professional attitude, but workmanship with the product was poor. The representative piece in the store was nothing like the piece we got. The one we ordered looked more white. The one we got was a very dark grey. At the factory, they cut a piece the wrong size, the installers couldn't make straight cuts, they measured and cut one piece improperly 3 different times, having to come back to the house 3 different times, and on the third try they tried to sneak in a poor cut that had glued pieces of granite on it to fill in their cutting mistakes instead of cutting a new piece to fit properly. They also cut an edge of the counter top in a crooked line so that they had to notch it, to get it back to the wall, around a piece of door casing. It worked, but the stove top now looks crooked because the distance to the edge of the counter is not the same. They refused to take responsibility for their mistakes as they, apparently, lied about the problems to Lowes (who we bought the counter tops through), saying the problems were because we didn't like the color or the way they cut the piece, not because of any mistakes on their part. In truth, it didn't matter whether or not we liked the color, the last piece was cut too short so it didn't cover the cabinet top. It has has now been one full month and we still have no finished counter tops. I have no idea when this job will be finished. We are being told now that we might have to have the entire job redone, by this same company, in order to get counter tops to match. We are so disgusted with how this company does business that, at this time, we would prefer to just get unmatching countertops than have this company come back into our home to do the job completely over again. Apparently, the Lowes in West Eugene where we bought the counter tops, uses Galaxy Stone Works exclusively, so we have no choice as to how to get this job done properly. Will update if the job ever gets done satisfactorily.

Everything started out good with selection of our granite and intial communication but things went downhill from there. In templating they told us they would need to return after the 1st installation and put in our backspashes -which came with an extra charge. The day of the install they were 2 hours late - but had all the materials - so the 2nd trip was not needed and I requested a credit. Things seems to then go smoothly until they damaged one of our sinks - which we later found out was not covered on our contract. Installation then stopped because we had to go out and purchase a new sink! Read your contract - it pretty much states they are not liable for anything they damage. The 2nd trip took us forever to schedule because we could not get a firm date for 3-4 days. The communication between their staff - salespeople, installers and managers is terrible and no one seems to know who is on 1st! When they finally returned the day we had scheduled they were due at 9 am and did arrive until 3 pm! Another glitch in scheduling of their workforce and miscommunications because someone could not make it. During that trip they got everything done but our backsplashes in our kitchen because when the team finally arrived at 3 pm they ran out of expoxy!! 3rd and final trip - same miscommunication re when they would return and what time. We had to call multiple times to get a firm date and no one seemed considerate or motivated enough to call us first or in a timely manner. This is my opinion of my unfortunate experience with Galaxy Stone Works in Hubbard, OR:
I normally don't write reviews and post them online. If a business or employee is exceptional, I'll contact the management directly and offer kudos. Unfortunately, my experience with Galaxy Stone Works was anything but exceptional.
I purchased a piece of marble from Galaxy for a coffee table top after the company was recommended by a neighbor. The piece I liked was too large and Galaxy told me that they would not cut it smaller and if I wanted it, I would have to buy the entire piece. The salesperson did tell me, however, that I could use the excess for a future project and that Galaxy would be happy to retain the excess portion until I was ready to have it cut. My wife and I were considering purchasing a drum table for the same room and decided that we could have a matching marble top cut for the drum table as well using the excess marble. We purchased the larger piece and left the coffee-table base with Galaxy and began looking for a drum table.
Galaxy cut the coffee-table top to fit. The work was spot-on and excellent. My wife and I were very pleased.
Fast-forward to later. We found a drum table and contacted Galaxy to design the matching top. It took three phone calls to learn that the excess piece that I had purchased was "not available anymore" and the salesperson that had promised to hold it was "no longer with the company". When I asked for a refund for the amount I paid for the excess marble, I was told that Galaxy would not refund my money. They did not believe that the arrangement that had been made with the salesperson was true, saying "it is not company policy to hold remnants". Five phone calls and four emails later, I gave up trying.
I was foolish when I purchased the excess marble by not documenting the agreement in writing. It's disappointing when you have to think this way when doing business with a local company that had come so highly recommended by a trusted source, but there it is. Perhaps I could have had more leverage with Galaxy if I were a construction contractor that had spent tons of money with Galaxy for materials, but as a tiny homeowner, I was dead in the water.
In my opinion, Galaxy stole my money. Needless to say, I won't be going back. I have researched other marble companies in the Portland area and have discovered others with excellent customer service reviews. I should have done this research before I went to Galaxy from the beginning, as I could have avoided this company altogether. I won't make this same mistake again.
(When I informed Galaxy that I would making my experience known on Yelp, Angie's List, etc , I was told that the company would "respond with whatever legal action we deem appropriate.")

We worked with Charlene Kuhn to select the stone for the countertops. She was amazingly helpful in providing us with information about granite and played a major role in coordinating pricing and installation through the general contractor. Had it not been for Charlene's assistance with the process, we would probably still be waiting for the general contractor to get their act together.
Galaxy's project manager, Igor is extremely responsive to all inquiries from the countertop measurements to installation. We purchased a new stove after the countertop was installed which required Galaxy to return and customize the stove area. They were courteous and prompt in meeting that request.
The only issue we had was when my husband installed the faucet for the new sink, we discovered that the hole had been drilled at an angle, so he had to grind it out some more to make it fit better.

I had my 3 granite quotes already in hand from other Angieslist companies with good ratings. i went to Contract Home Furnishings to look at back splash tiles and decided to have them give me a quote for granite too, why not? Galaxy was one companies that came back with a quote. At first, it seemed to good to be true!
They did awesome work, were professional and turn around was very quick.
The only thing I didn't give them an A on was b/c I felt like I needed to be on top of getting calls made to get the answers I needed....it often took too long for my job head to get back to me (in my opinion), so I would call to keep things moving forward. She wasn't negligent, just not as prompt as I prefer.

I had a hard time finding the right place to go for granite and these guys were over the top. They were really good and really professional, but their salesman was a little slow on his response. They just did everything for me. We wanted to have the right base and they gave us the name and the number of the guy who made a steel base for us. His work was absolutely beautiful and it was custom made. We got just what we wanted and I was really happy. This was our first experience with Galaxy Granite and we heard some not so pleasant stories, but we were just so satisfied all the way along.

Kyle was very helpful in managing our job. He helped us select the granite and did the measurements of the counters. He was great to work with and did a great job acting as the liason between us and the installers. Overall working with Galaxy Granite was a very good experience.

I bought an antique cabinet to replace the contemporary cabinet that was in my bathroom. I wanted to have a countertop cut to fit the cabinet and sink. It had to be cut with a lot of precision because of irregular walls. They did a great job. I was very happy with their work. The salesman was really outstanding. He was very helpful and patient. I changed my mind about what I wanted several times, and he walked me through that. He made me comfortable with what we were going to do. The installation was a no-brainer. They came in and did it, and they were done.

We were satisfied with them. They did make one error, but they corrected it in a satisfactory way. They shouldn't have made the error to begin with, but that was part contractor and part Galaxy Granite. They initially quoted us a high price and then they came way down. They were willing to work with us on things. They were professional and they were very nice about it. They made one mistake, but they responded to that and fixed it. They have good quality materials. They are very helpful when you go out to their place. My contractor told me that he would use them again when I asked him.

They met their commitments from start to finish. The price was the best we had seen, the quality was better than we had seen, and they were on time and did a great job. The granite looks fabulous. I would recommend them to everyone - and have!
