It took longer than it should have because the weather wasn't cooperating. It wasn't the best time to do this job but that was my choice. It would be a maybe 3-4 week project if the weather cooperated and all the pieces feel into place at the right time. It turned out beautiful.

Professional. Two times the start date of work was delayed because of their other jobs falling behind. Once the work started it went quickly.

Brett made a visit to understand my vision. He provided a detailed quote after reviewing several options for lighting style, voltage, placement etc. The install was very professional, clean up was excellent and the results are beautiful.
This lighting project was not just simple path lighting - but actually well spaced accents for benches, art, trees and paths. The lighting completes the yard beautifully and I could not be more pleased. Summer or winter - it will be a beautiful backdrop for my home.

When putting in the pond or any other work, they give you a plan, cost and timeline. They always complete the work on time and within the budget.

Earthworks provided us with a detailed schematic drawing showing us exactly what they had in mind and which plants, pavers and stones they planned to use. They then showed up at precisely the arranged time and proceeded to replicate exactly what was in their plan. The landscaping held up well throughout the winter and the plants are progressing nicely. We are very happy with the result.

Brett Kacalek of Earthworks did the original landscape design for our new home about 5 years ago. They also did the basic installation and have done one or two other smaller projects for me in the past. When I decided I needed the stairs installed, there was no hesitation for me about whom to call. Brett came out and immediately understood the "feel" I was after for the project. He provided a complete written bid and I signed a contract. The only "down side" to working with Earthworks is that they're busy, so it can sometimes take quite a while for them to be able to schedule a project, plus they're dependent on the weather, too. However, I received a call a day or two before they were ready to begin work. Brett came out at the beginning to instruct the crew (and ended up putting one of the staircases in a slightly different place than we'd originally planned, which worked out well). The project took two or three days, and the crew did an excellent job. The finished result is perfect. They disturbed a minimum of landscape near the project and they cleaned up after themselves thoroughly.
