Westwood Property Group

This is my second positive experience working with the Westwood Property Group.  They are at the top of their game and the experience has been so very good both times that I wish I needed to buy more houses!  Both properties were short sales, and the most recent one had many twists and turns to work through.  Melodee stayed positive and stayed focused and the result was excellent.

Tawnya and her team helped us list and sell our house. Tawnya was very efficient and helpful. She was one of three agents we interviewed and found her to be the best match for us. She knows the real estate business very well and helped us with setting a good price for sale. She gave advice on what to do to show well. Also, she was great at getting back to us quickly when we had questions. Our house sold in three days for $2000 over the asking price. We would definitely use Westwood Property again for any real estate needs.

Throughout the decades, we have had many mixed experiences with Realtors, some good, and some bad. Tawnya Poe of Westwood Properties is in a class by herself: she knows her business very well and is a superb professional; she is also absolutely outstanding in every respect. When we engaged her to sell our house, she immediately came up with the right asking price, followed through in several matters to help us sell certain items, found us practical support, showed us how to present our house, and was invariably upbeat, cheerful and supportive.  She answers her voice mail messages asap. The 12th showing brought us a cash offer within two weeks. Tawnya did some pre-negotiating with the buyer and thus saved us the tedious counter-offering back and forth. She patiently guided us through the home inspection process, solved all related problems and was always at our side, ready with sound advice and good cheer. My husband and I were trying to buy our first home and had been through several agents who didn't seem overly anxious to help even though we were buying in cash. All they wanted to do was get us to try to buy outside our budget or bid everything we had on anything we looked at. Then a friend of my mother's recommended Melodee Davis because of the amazing experience she had with her. She was incredible!. I cannot express enough how happy I was with her. She never pushed us to bid more than we were comfortable with, she never pushed us conform to a schedule we couldn't. You know the silly thing is I was shocked to find out she was working with other clients as well. Not that I am the jealous sort it's just that Melodee paid so much attention to my husband and I and was accessible at all hours that it felt like her whole world revolved around me and my home search. When I couldn't call to make appointments because I work at a call center and couldn't leave my desk, she found out what times worked for me and scheduled it for me. She was there for utility turn ons when I couldn't be and when we missed a signature on a form for our bid, she drove from Cornelius to the Portland edge of Gresham to come to me at 9 pm to get it done. I will forever recommend Melodee Davis. She made my husband and I feel like the most important people in the world and for first time homeowners it really inspired confidence. Kudos!

I am from Indiana, and was only in town for a few days to look for a new house in Cornelius, OR.  I was very worried that I would have to significantly sacrifice to find a home that I could afford.  Knowing I was in town for only a short time, Melodee scheduled several house tours, and made me a priority.   We looked at a number of properties, and I was soon discouraged at what was available in my price range.  We then looked at a home that was at the top of my price range.  I liked it very much and was ready to put in an offer.  It was a short sale, and Melodee researched it thoroughly before suggesting what I offer  -- which was thousands of dollars less than what I was prepared to offer! I went back to Indiana and in only a few weeks - the bank accepted my offer!  Then we had the home inspection.  For a distressed property, the house was in good condition, but there were some issues.  Melodee suggested that I ask for 50% of the cost to make repairs.  I was very skeptical that the bank would agree, but since Melodee thought it was worth asking for, I was ready to try.  Less than three weeks later, the bank countered and the difference was less than $200!   The bank gave me almost everything I asked for!  I now own a beautiful home in an upscale neighborhood and I was able to purchase it at a remarkable price.   I credit Melodee's work to have completed this sale in such a successful manner.
