Trail Blazing Corporation

Only onsite 4 times at most. 2 times were pre-contract or bidding. The last was Demolition. I think the plumber was a sub contractor but do not know for sure. There was no inspections, final or otherwise. I did have issues and made call and emails. Call for the most part went unanswered or unacknowledged. The office staff gave us our own address for meeting location. They were only going to remove the counter tops and not the counters for demo. Flooring was not removed prior to cabinet install. original schedule was about 14 days. It took 72. Had to pay extra to have work I requested as part of the original bid completed. Most of this was due to not ordering material needed on day 1. 3 weeks without even temporary counter tops. It is done and looks good now, but the sub-contractors did all the work from what I can tell.

The first time I used Trail Blazing Corp for replacement of window trim and fascia boards I was happy with their professionalism and work. This time it was a completely different experience. Tyler came out and we carefully went over all the things I needed done. He was very personable and professional and said "no problem" and even provided suggestions on how to do certain aspects of the job. He said he'd get back to me with a quote in a few days. A week later no word, so I emailed to see if they had a quote and I got a brief email response saying the work would be charged as time and materials and would be put on their "fill list." I asked if they could give me an estimate (instead of giving them a blank check) and I got a 4 word response saying it would be $1,200. No written bid. I got the feeling they wanted me to go away (and I should have). I told them I wanted to go ahead with the work. No response. I called a week later to see if they could tell me when I could be squeezed into the schedule and suddenly they sprung into action and said they could do it tomorrow and asked what it was I needed done so they could cobble together a written bid for me to sign. (So clearly, they were blowing me off before I called to follow up) I told them Tyler knew it all because we had gone over it together. They provided a written bid that provided a very basic description of the areas that needed work. I signed it and they came out and did the work. I then received an invoice for $700 over the bid, listing most of the work as "extras." I called Tyler and he didn't remember going over the work (apparently didn't take notes) and claimed it was more than what we had agreed upon, though the bid listed all the areas that needed work. He tried to tell me the two window trim replacements cost $1,200. Really? Needless to say, in the future I would not accept a sloppy description of the work on the bid. I won't use them again.

All work was completed with high quality, with careful attention to every detail. All issues found and proposed solutions were clearly communicated. All work was completed on schedule.

I contacted Trail Blazing this last September for a bid. They were prompt and honest with me about our wishes. We decided to use their service. They installed a brand new 40'x16' patio covering, completely remodeled our kitchen, living room and bathroom from the ground up. Walls were removed, new cabinets, counter tops, floors, windows, doors were all installed. Sean, the builder, was an absolute God Send! Sean's work is very custom. He kept me in the loop during the whole process. Sean does absolutely BEAUTIFUL work. Tyler (the owner) made sure the entire process was smooth. Lauren was so quick to respond and ensured I was a part of every process and decision. We will have Trail Blazing back again and they are already going to start work in our family's home. We would 100% recommend them.

Trail blazing just completed our Kitchen Remodel and I cannot say enough good things about these guys! 1) Their communication is amazing! They replied to all my emails and calls within the hour the majority of the time 2) Every single person they had come out to my house was friendly, professional and listened to what I wanted 3) Their coordination with the electrician, cabinet and counter top companies was also great! I would 100% recommend Trail Blazing Corporation to anyone!

They were able to fit me into their schedule in a short time. The team of guys were amazing! They assessed the problems with the deck, and got right to work. They discussed all progress with me, showing me exactly what they were doing and what was needed. Best of all - they were creative about designing and building a unique 'privacy fence.' I never would have thought of using the design they came up but I absolutely love it!! The final touch was the beautiful railing. I can't say enough good things about this company.

They guys did a great job with following my requirements. The only exception was the electrician, who did not place outlets where they were needed and didn't wire the light fixture right. HOWEVER, CJ and crew had them correct it quickly and made it right. My rating reflects the electrician not Trail Blazing. I would definitely use them again!

It went very well! They were consistently prompt, polite and professional. They ask me my opinion on several occasions and listened when I gave it, They suggested other ways of doing something that might work better, but didn't mind when I said no thanks. Scheduling was very easy, and communication about the billing process and fees were clearly explained. I appreciated the concern for safety for their workers, when indicating two people would be needed to address the second story windows. The workers arrived on time and were very professonal and courteous. Workers proceeded with the work straight away and were careful to protect surfaces and areas as they worked. Updates to work progress were given as needed, along with welcome suggestions and explanations of the work being performed. Upon completion I asked about the billing process, and was given a good explanation. The invoice came via email within a day after the work was completed. We would gladly hire this company again.

Travis and team are amazing! From the first day I was impressed by the professionalism and "do the right thing" approach. They have taken care of two major projects, were timely and efficient, and I can not be more pleased with the results. First project involved repairing water intrusion damage to corner of house. All work was exceptional and I can sleep easy knowing my house is secure and dry. Second project was painting the exterior. They matched my previous colors perfectly and the house now shines! Travis, Lauren and team are the real deal who I trust with all my future home repair needs.

Work was performed as scheduled in a professional manner. Estimates were given and adhered to. Outstanding supervision and communication.

I am very pleased with the end result. They did what I wanting to be done: raised our sunken living room floor to match the height of the rest of the house and reused the laminate flooring (which was like new). They built and installed custom cabinets and shelves (entertainment center) in the living room. Every guy that did work on the project was professional, kind and worked hard and they cleaned up after themselves every day. It was a learning experience for me though. There was misunderstanding on some final details of the cabinets and some problems with materials so the project took over a week longer than originally estimated and cost more, most of which were additions to the original bid, so the cost my fault. But the unexpected time it took to finish is really my only complaint, since the additions I chose only added a couple of hours of extra work. But they worked hard to make me feel satisfied and I am pleased with the final product. I would hire them again. The picture I submitted is mostly a final product. The cabinet doors still need to be painted and knobs put on, but you can at least see the craftsmanship.

It was wonderful, they removed the old tile countertops and backsplash. Laid down plywood for new countertops to be placed on. Fixed up water damage issues by the sink before new counters went down. Trail blazing was fabulous, guys did a great job, cleaned everything up .. Highly recommend and I will be using them again

AMAZING service and professionalism! We were in a pinch needing to quickly get some minor re-caulking work completed on our home that had a pending sale that was scheduled to close the end of the week. I called a few places but got recordings so kept dialing since we needed work within 5 days. I was so happy not only to reach Lauren directly but impressed she actually had a tech that could come out within a couple days. I emailed a few pics of the work needing to be done just to confirm tech knew what to expect and she promptly responded and confirmed. Although tech was to meet my husband around noon, she called to say he could come earlier if it worked with our schedules (it did!) and even called 1/2 hour ahead to confirm meeting time. Work was done quickly and professionally (and affordably!) and she emailed the invoice so we could prove work was done & we closed on time! I wish all handymen services were run so professionally - Trail Blazer knows how to do it! We will definitely be calling them again and would highly recommend to anyone!

Very professional, high quality work, and priced fair. I felt as though every employee cared about the work they were doing. I was constantly updated on the progress and the work was explained to me at each step. I would hire them again and have already recommended them to several friends.

I LOVE Trail Blazing, and have been using them for over five years. The ownership has changed during that time and I was worried that I would lose the amazing service that I had always received, but they continue to provide amazing service/work. Communications is exceptional and efficient, they always respond right away! They can usually fit small jobs in fairly quickly and I'm grateful I can always count on consistent performance. They were prompt, friendly, professional and did a great job. Every question was answered right away and it is such a relief to know that the house is back in order.

I began seeking bids to correct the siding and dry rot problems back in June 2017 and of about 4 contractors I had look at the property, Trail Blazing was the only one that followed through with giving the bids timely. Then in September/October of 2017 the work was scheduled to begin on January 2, 2018 and they started on time (very reliable). Our rental home was built in the 50's and during the job of replacing the siding they encountered dry rot. Trail Blazing made sure that any problems they encountered were brought to my attention and then went about correcting the problem. I gave them an "A" for price not because they were the cheapest but because I felt that the level of expertise provided was priced fairly. Top notch company that I would recommend to anyone.

Workers were very friendly and professional. Job was top notch. I was very happy that they cleaned the gutters and sprayed the moss with moss killer as a bonus to the job.
