Native Son Painting

Larry and Kelly did fantastic work. We were happy with the communication, attention to detail and the quality of their work. For example, we chose a deep red for our front door and they took extra time and effort to do numerous coats to make it look really great. They earned our trust and we plan to go back to Native Son Painting when we need the interior of our home painted.

I am very particular with my house and they more than stood up to the challenge. Whatever I requested they did without hesitation. Wish there were more of these professionals out there.

On time on budget and an excellent job! Neat, clean, couldn’t be bettered. We also have a whole tin of paint in case of accidents.

Fantastic, had them do some interior painting a few years ago, was thrilled with the work so contacted them for my exterior painting, extremely happy with the results.

Larry and Kelli did marvelous job. The house, built in 1911, is a two-story Portland traditional built in 1911. It has cedar shake siding so the job was both difficult and time-consuming. The house looks better than it ever has in the 40 plus years I've lived in it. We plan to hire them to do interior painting because my wife and I are so happy with the great job they did. They have our heartfelt thanks for a job expertly done.

I so appreciated the care and attention to detail that Larry and Kelly provided. They called me back right away, came out to see me and provide a quote within a day. They are a great team and super easy to work with. Also, their work was impeccable. A month later I am still wandering around the house looking at how nice everything looks. This was much needed work done to spiff up the house for my daughter's wedding. I can't say enough good things about them.

The painting itself went fine.  Scheduling however has been super difficult.  We bought the Angie's deal back in the Spring, I think April or May and Linda put the job off "until the weather was better", despite the fact that it was a beautiful spring this year.  Then we finally got on the schedule in July and it was again put off, this time only by a few days.  The job was mostly done in early August.  They missed some trim and the back side of the chimney. There was also some other touch up work we requested.  The response was that they would be out in the next two weeks to finish it.  Now, it has been a month later and the work is still not done.  They had scheduled for 9 am today (9/5/2015) but cancelled because it might rain (it was overcast but dry until 2 pm).  I don't know when this job will actually be completed.  The price was good and its a small family run business, which I appreciate supporting, but this has taken way too long. Therefore, I cannot recommend them to my neighbors.

It went well, except for scheduling took almost a year to find a time with my chaotic summer schedule.  I don't have 2 days off n a row ever.   They honored the deal when we finally did get it scheduled.  The paint job looks good and the 3 person group were very, very nice.

Native Son Painting were very courteous, professional, thorough and clean.  They were timely and communicative.  I would certainly recommend them and use them again.

Our home was last painted about 15 years ago and was in need of a paint job. Native Son Painting had a "Big Deal" on Angie's List which attracted my attention. After purchasing the deal, I receive a phone call from them to set up a time when they could come out and pressure wash the house. They came out when they said they would and did a thorough job. The next several weeks was a bit of a waiting game, because they wanted to make sure there would be at least two days without rain. It took a couple of tries -- they would call and let me know that it looked like they could come out within the next week on a certain day, but then the day would arrive and the weather wouldn't be cooperating, so they conscientiously called and postponed the job. They did not want to jeopardize the quality by caulking and painting in the rain. Finally, the Northwest weather cooperated and they came out promptly when they said they would. They are a family business and Larry, the son, was very easy to talk to and very informative about what they were planning to do and why they were doing it. They had to remove many nails and hooks and whatnot that were in our home's siding, and they filled all holes with caulking. They also caulked everywhere that was needed including around the garage door. On the first day, they removed all light fixtures and masked all the windows and other items around the house that was not to be painted. They carefully put drop cloths all around the home, and they carefully protected all our plants. They used an airless sprayer and by the end of the first day they covered our home with two coats of the main color. They followed the first sprayed coat with a paint roller to make sure that the paint was forced into any and all crevices. The second coat went on nice and thick. They arrived promptly the next morning and started (and finished) the two coats of trim. Finally, they walked around the house and did a thorough check -- touching up any imperfections or areas that were missed. I'm very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks!

They did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

This was an Angie's List special deal but our house was quite a bit bigger than the deal size.
This a family owned and run business involving three generations, Grandmother, son and grandson.
They were a little slow to respond but the grandmother and son came out to look at the job and explain how it should be accomplished.
The son seemed very knowledgeable and suggested a procedure for the west facing walls which were more weathered than the rest of the house.
We settled on a price and within a few weeks they came and power washed the entire house and front deck.
The next week they came and sprayed and hand painted the whole house, trim and deck over two days.
The house and deck look great and we were very pleased.  The only thing that we didn't do was have a final walk around inspection and they did not help put stuff back that had to be moved away from the house.  We did not have any contract either.
Other than that it was a good job.

Native Son owners were responsive when contacted and provided a bid quickly. The work was started and completed on a timely basis, was well done and cleanup was very good. I will definitely use them again.

They scheduled the service immediately. I had purchased an Angie's List Deal so I called in advance to discuss the project as it varied from the deal. They bought the trim paint and I bought the accent wall paint and paid them at the time of the service for the trim paint.
They did an excellent job. They were very detail oriented and painted using great lines. I was extremely happy with the quality of the paint job.
In addition, they were very polite and quiet! I had a napping baby upstairs and she didn't hear a sound (which I never mentioned). They were very professional and did a great job cleaning up.
I would highly recommend them.

As stated in "what did the provider do".  They were excellent and I will used them again plus plan on having my Mom's place painted next year and they will get the job.

Just fine--an excellent job --they masked everything and cleaned up when they were thru.
