I've been a member of other gyms in the past, and most recently 24 Hour Fitness. Comparing L.A fitness to the other gyms it was a no-brainer to go with them. They have the luxury/amenities of the much more expensive gyms like 24 hour with the prices of the local gyms (actually cheaper in our case, when you count the kid care). L.A fitness had a bigger pool, just as many classes, and just as nice of a gym as the 24 hour super sport location I used to be a member of at about half the price. The kid care was literally half the price as well. They were even cheaper than the local gyms we priced. I'm definitely pleased.

The environment is fine. They do have personal trainers for me. I've only used them once and I probably won't do it gone. I never have problem with them.

It was wonderful I even got a free training session that really showed me how out of shape I am and what I need to do to get to my goal.

The staff and the people there are very nice. The facility is also very nice. It is the closest one to my house. Their price is the same as anybody else.

Last December I received a brief email telling me that my gym, Bally's, was bought by LA Fitness and that my gym was closing. I was told that I was to go to the LA Fitness in Hillsboro. Not asked, told. I was given no information about opting out.. I pay month by month and have no contract with Bally for them to buy. I did not authorize LA Fitness to take money from my credit card. I kept expecting to get a "packet" or something via mail with a new membership application, a new re authorization for automatic payments, new membership cards...anything. But I received nothing but a brief email saying to change gyms. I work over 60 hours a week and did not have time go to the gym and find out what was going on. I mailed them a letter saying that I would not be going to there gym and had never agreed to go to there gym. It was sent back saying that the gym does not receive mail. heard from them in July that my credit card was expired and they needed a new number or they would charge me a penalty. They called everyday for a week, both my home and cell phone. I called them back after I found out that they had been deducing money from my card without my permission. They claimed that I had to cancel my membership by coming down to the gym and talking to some manager. I informed them that I had never been to their gym, never agreed to be a member and therefore I had no membership to cancel. They disagreed and basically said that Bally's had owned me and now they owned me and I needed to pay them for something I never ordered or come down and talk to them about it. No choice. There customer service stinks and they make it really hard to cancel a membership. And when they "bought" my name from Bally's they did not bother to ask my permission, send me any information about the situation other than the new address where I was told to go. I have asked for a full refund of the money they took out of my account without my permission. I warn anyone against joining this gym. Beware...especially if you never ask to be a member but are "purchased".

I've been going there for six to eight months. It's been fine. The quality would be A+; they have good equipment. I don't interact with the staff a lot.

I like the facility and I have and like my trainer. I feel like I'm in good hands with my trainer. The monthly fee of $29.99 is very reasonable.

I like that they keep a really clean facility. They keep dated on things. They fix things and they don't let things stay in disrepair for too long. They are good about communicating.

Terrible.... "F". Additionally, I was promised a discounted price of $30.00 per month by the salesperson because I was a student. When I went in the day I was supposed to actually join and sign papers, the salesman had been fired and wasn't there so naturally I did not receive any kind of a break. I still joined but the service continued to be poor so I quit after about six months.

Excellent customer service, great staff; very friendly and helpful. You get 1 hour FREE personal training, then you decide if you want to continue training. They have a swiming pool sauna and lots more. What a great way to spend your day, and the staff is really nice, and not to forget daycare is great! Our kid Loves it.

This gym is very well maintained with lots of workout options. The babysitting staff are friendly and do a great job!
