I wasn't here and didn't really see him. I am going to have them re-check it in another nine months.
I used them twice. They discovered a problem. What stood out was they found the problem for me. and saved a huge mess for me. We took that to the builder who got another company to come in and fix the problem. So far the problem is fixed so you could say they did a good job. The price was high, but you don't have any choice in the matter.
The only reason why we didn't give him an and quot;Aand quot; for professionalism was that he took a couple phone calls in the middle of the inspection. We found that a bit off the mark, as we took time off work to be there and every minute he wasn't focused on us (his clients) is every minute wasted.
Otherwise, Larry is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the inner workings of a home, is personable and easy to work with. We would recommend Inspectek.
His report summarized everything he found - but before he left he was able to verbally explain what he had found and let us know what were major concerns and what was typically for a home of that age. He helped us understand which issues were projects that could be tackled by a home improvement project and which we would likely need a contractor for as well. We were so much more prepared to negotiate with the sellers with the information he was able to provide.
Because it was an older house, he recommended having our sewer line scoped as well - it was an additional cost, but provided a great ease of mind to know what possible problems we might encounter. Not only that, but because of the scope we were able to realize that we had a shared sewage line and that there was an undisclosed easement with the city and that would allow us access to a neighbor's yard in case of future repairs. The DVD we received was very easy to understand and is something we'll be able to refer to in future years if issues arise.
