Floyd Flemmer Construction LLC

I found Floyd Flemmer Construction in the online yellow pages. I called Rob up and he came out for an estimate that evening. The price seemed reasonable compared to research I had done on what my project should cost. I wanted to get another estimate or two before going with him though. I joined Angie's list and got two more estimates from contractors that had decent reviews. Their prices were quite a bit higher and they didn't break down their estimate like Rob did. Rob gave me an hourly rate for the Bobcat work and said he could easily do it within his 2 hour minimum charge. He then gave me a price per square foot for the patio which matched very well what i had seen online. I decided to go with them and am very glad I did. The final bill matched the estimate perfectly and they did a great job. Floyd stopped several times during the excavation to make sure it was turning out how I wanted it. He had to drive across my yard many times with the Bobcat and was very concerned about the damage it was doing. I was fully prepared for the lawn to be destroyed and didn't see any way out of it. He made sure to fix it as best as it could be and was more concerned about it than I was. They got the concrete poured the same day and it turned out pretty nice. Rob even helped me decide on what post bases to put in for a cover that I would be building later myself. Although they do other finishes I just wanted a no frills broom finish and that's exactly what I got. My only complaint would be that there was a lot of dead grass around the patio area and some of it blew onto the concrete while they were running the broom over it. Not much they could do about that and I didn't even see it myself until the concrete had dried. Most of it came up and it looks OK now. Also there was some concrete splashed on my house while they were pouring but luckily that washed off later. Those weren't enough to give them a B on quality though, since it looks good now. Also it's been two months since they did the work and still no cracks! Overall they were great. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
