Flowers by Burkhardts

Though Marti was at first very nice and her prices were reasonable, the end result of the flowers for my daughter's wedding was a disaster. My daughter's bouquet actually fell apart!! Can you even believe that? We were constantly picking up flowers and trying to put them back. The bridesmaid bouquets were the smallest and whimpiest I'd ever seen. We didn't bet what we'd ordered at all!!! During the consultation, I showed her pictures of the exact flowers we wanted for the reception and how we wanted them arranged. I also specifically said that I didn't want greenery, just flowers. Well, the flowers I got on were drooping greenery with a few flowers. I even emailed the pictures so she could have them in hand. The flowers were NOT fresh and some of the flowers on the tables were even missing petals. Everything drooped and looked terrible!! I was embarrassed!! But, it's the day of, the wedding...what do you do? Just let it go. Totally disappointed and frustrated though!!! After all the events, I took the flowers over to her so she could see my daughter's bouquet and ask about why I didn't get what I'd asked for. She was all excuses. She even lied and told me that I'd asked for greenery. I reminded her that I actually had a text that I could show her that specifically said NO greenery!! She refused to admit that she had done anything wrong and became very argumentative. It appears that Burkhardt's is a hit and miss. If you want to take a risk, well, try it out. But I would avoid her for larger and important events.

I ordered a dozen red roses to be delivered to by wifes work, within a 6 mile radius of the florist. I ordered them approximately 5 days ago. As the day progressed the roses were not delivered. My wife leaves at 2 45 and I wanted them for her so she could share with her coworkers. At 1 pm they still were not delivered and I called Burkhardt. They assured me that the delivery man just left 20 minutes ago (!) and they would be there very soon. By 2 20 they were still not delivered and I called again. She called me back to tell me that he did deliver them...to a school. My wife works at a doctors office. I finally convinced her that it was not to a school and she asked me what she could do to rectify the situation. I told her I wanted a refund. She instead offered to deliver them at my home (missing the point) or on Monday. I said no and after she made it obvious that she was not inclined to refund my money I told her to keep the money and the flowers and I would no longer do business with her. This is two years in a row they messed up. I forgave them last time but I will never get flowers from them again. Do not do business with this person.
